Emmy is a Prima Ballerina in the making. Given the choice she would live in her Tutu's all day long and has been known to try to sleep in them too. She is always dancing about to her cartoon theme tunes, her CD's and whatever music she hears.
However when we recently signed her up for dance lessons she hated it, she joined in for the first half a lesson then cried and sat down and refused to join in. We tried for 2 lessons before deciding it wasn't worth wasting the money.
Recently we were sent a DVD called Prima Princessa - The Nutcracker which is a new fun way of introducing Ballet moves to children in a simple and fun way.
It shows a simplified version of the Nutcracker Ballet by the famous Birmingham Ballet Company broken down into small parts with naration from Prima Princessa over the top so the children (and adults) understand what is going on. It is broken down into parts and inbetween the children are taught Ballet Steps which are very easy to follow.
Emmy loved joining in, dancing around and just watching the "lovely dancing".
Emmy has learnt to do a few new Ballet moves and is really enjoying the Ballet or as she calls it "The dancing Princesses".
This DVD is available for £5.99 from Amazon.
