Looking back on 2013

2013

2013 is almost over and it’s been a mixed year for us if I’m honest.

Emmy turned 3, we celebrated Harry’s 1st birthday. Paul started a new job, Emmy started Nursery and Health within the family has been poor. My Mother in Law found out that after battling Breast Cancer she now has secondary Cancer in 3 other places and is now undergoing Chemo again and my Dad is awaiting a heart op.

What a mixed bag of emotions we’ve been through this year.  We’ve been to Christenings, Weddings and Funerals.  Many of our closest friends are just beginning on their baby days with loads of pregnancy announcements and births this year.

This little blog has had a great year too.  This year we managed to break into the top 100 of the tots100 charts – something I NEVER thought would happen but it has and has continued for the past  9 months (I’m enjoying it while it lasts), we were nominated in the MADS awards too which was fantastic (Thank you) and we have had some great opportunities.

We had our Butlins holiday as Ambassadors and loved it so much we are returning almost a year later for  Emmy’s late birthday treat and can’t wait.

We’ve worked with fabulous companies over the course of this year as Ambassadors which is a huge honour, so huge thanks need to go to (in no particular order) Butlins, Bigjigs, TefalActivity Toys Direct, Shoe Zone, Lollibops & Cosatto.

We have been to some amazing places and events with various companies: A great night out with the Kiddicare team, Kiddicare store openings, ice skating and to meet Santa with HP, premier movie screenings,  Lollibops, a brief return to Coombemill and many more.

This year has been amazing and we have.had a great time sharing it with you all.

Next year I’m hoping is just as exciting and we are already in talks with a great company about a new and exciting Ambassadorship as well as (if all goes to plan) bringing you an AWESOME competition in the new year which you won’t want to miss!

I will be of course sharing our family milestones throughout the year too – I can’t wait to see what new adventures Emmy and Harry take next, it will include 2nd and 4th birthday’s and Emmy starting Reception in September!

Thank you so much to every single one of you who has ever read this blog.

Hopefully we will see you again in 2014.

Happy New Year

Now I really want to know how 2013 was for you!  If you have an end of year post or a 2013 in review post I would love for you to link up so I can be nosy so we can all see what you’ve been up too!

  1. All the best for the next year. I hope it brings better health for those in your family with health problems, and that it brings lots of happy moments for all of you 🙂

  2. What a wonderful round up of the year and thank you for our lovely mention, it was lovely to have you come to our Greek Easter Party. If I manage a reflections on 2014 post I will link up for sure. Happy New Year to you and the family.

  3. Sounds like you have some real highs and lows too – a mixed bag as you say. Lovely idea for a Linky, mine is an easy read as most of it is 2013 in pictures! Will be over to comment on some other posts later. Happy New Year 🙂

  4. Wishing you a wonderful New Year, hope 2014 is a little more settled and good news always outweighs the bad. I also really hope we meet properly instead of sit next to one another oblivious 😉 xx
