42 days of Summer

The summer holidays are well and truly under way, we are a good few weeks in and most importantly we are still alive!!
It is a major achievement some days with a 4 year old going on 14 with the biggest tantrums ever!
We have been keeping the days fun and busy.
We have had a few days out which have obviously cost money however there are so many fun things you can do which are free or cost very little.
These are our top 20 free/cheap summer activities:
  1. Picnics - these have been made happy with the aid of  McVites BN biscuits.  We were sent scoff the lot eat some of the jam ones myself.
some recently to try out and they were an instant hit with the kids as they are happy smiley faces with either jam or chocolate sandwiched in between.  Luckily for me the kids were only keen on the chocolate ones meaning I could
  2. Swimming
  3. Tree Climbing
  4. Swimming
  5. Seaside trips
  6. Library reading challenges
  7. Gardening
  8. Baking
  9. Trampolining
  10. Building assault courses in the garden or the house
  11. Making dens in the garden
  12. Movie afternoons
  13. Painting
  14. Junk modelling
  15. Make a holiday scrap book
  16. Mud pies
  17. Puppet shows
  18. Flying kites
  19. Learning to ride a bike without stabilisers
We are on a mission this holidays to spend as little as we can due to Paul being out of work currently, and barring a few treat days out we have spent very little entertaining the children.
