A quick and easy Iced Latte – A refreshing drink

You won’t need it pointed out – you know – It’s HOT at the moment.
This is a quick and easy cooling drink which can be prepped in advance – perfect for cooling down.
I have been using my Tassimo machine to make an espresso, I then leave this to cool down and pour into an ice cube tray.  This then goes into the freezer, after a few hours they are ready (Top Tip: why not do this before bed and allow them to freeze over night!)
Pop 6 espresso ice cubes into a glass.
Then fill the glass with fridge cold milk (I use Soy milk as I’m in the process of cutting out dairy however your normal milk will do).
Add a straw and allow the ice cubes to melt.  I take this time to have my shower, wash up or make lunch.
Of course, if you are like me and NEED that extra pick me up then add a shot of hot espresso on top and stir – this will see you through the long days of the Summer holidays!
Stir and enjoy.

  1. What a brilliant idea! I'm going to do this tonight and surprise my OH tomorrow. Whoop! Thanks for linking up to #recipeoftheweek – sorry I'm a bit late over! Have Pinned this post and scheduled in a tweet. New linky just went live for this week 🙂 x

  2. Mmmm….I love me an iced latte so will defo be giving this recipe a crack. Will save me a few pennies too if I'm not constantly hitting up Costa for a fix 😉

  3. Hi Clare, you can also dispense a coffee or capouccino/latte from your Tassimo machine straight into a large glass of ice and it cools down instantly. I add a shot of caramel syrup too it's yummy! x

  4. Oooo yum yum yum! I accidentally drank a cup of instant coffee that I had let go cold the other day – and it was so nice that I've been making up a jug of coffee and popping it in the fridge since!
