A Royal Summer

I don’t know about you but I love a good old Royal event.
It’s great for joining the country together in happiness and let’s face it means another excuse for a party,  and who doesn’t love a party?
This Summer we have, as always Royal Ascot, an event which attracts the attention of all age groups.   The lure of the horses, the sense of occasion and the good old excuse to dress up.  I personally love horse racing and would love to attend one year.  I’ve even planned my outfits recently, on the off chance I get to attend one year *Drops hints and awaits hopefully*.
There of course was the Queen’s 88th Birthday, always a sense of occasion with the Trooping of the Colour – we love to watch this on the TV and Emmy adores the horses and the fly-past by the Royal Air Force, the birthday honours list is always one to be celebrated especially in the village I used to work in as a Nanny as one of the community received an BEM (British Empire Medal):
  • Mrs Jennifer Mary Cobb, For services to the community in Benington, Hertfordshire. (Stevenage, Hertfordshire)

Jenny is an amazing lady who puts others first all the time and can not do enough to help everyone.

A friend and fellow blogger was also celebrating as her dad received an MBE:

  • Richard Bertrand Player, Higher Executive Officer Ministry of Defence. For services to Defence Catering. (Dorset)

How awesome is that? I know that Elaine is extremely proud, Elaine blogs over at Love Life and Pixels.

Then of course there is a 1st Birthday to celebrate, yes I’m very excited that my Nephew turns 1 next month and we have a party planned to celebrate however I do of course mean Prince George, he turns 1 on the 22nd July and there will be celebrations planned galore.

A first birthday is a great cause to celebrate for everyone.  Balloons, cake and presents – I wonder what George will be getting for his birthday.

888ladies are celebrating the occasion with a special online game of Bingo where the winner will win £8888 which will definitely help someone have A Very Royal Summer.

This game will take place on 22nd July at 9.30pm – what would you treat yourself to if you won?
