Blogger Competition: Win a trip to see the Northern Lights

We all have a bucket list of places we would like to visit and things we would love to see – Is seeing the Northern Lights on your list?
If so then keep reading as you could win a trip for 2 which will include full board accommodation, return flights, a husky safari, a visit to a reindeer camp, a snowmobile ride and much more!

Transun are offering one lucky winner the chance to see the Northern Lights deep inside the Arctic Circle. Not only that, but the lucky winner can select the person of their choice to accompany them  – they better start the sweet talking now as you could always go with your best friend and leave the other half at home!
How to enter:
To enter, all you have to do is write a new blog post about your top three travel bucket list destinations and why they are so, and Tweet it to @Transun using the #TransunLights. The prize is a fantastic trip to go and see the Northern Lights.

The competition will close on Thursday, 30th of April at 23:59 so make sure to get your entries in before then. Good luck!

*Departure date and airport subject to availability, valid for two passengers – full t&c’s can be found here.

The prize is a Northern Lights short break for two people, including:

– Your accommodation (full-board)

– Return flights
– Airport transfers
– Thermal suit and boots
– Northern Lights Snowmobile safari (2hrs)
– Husky safari (1hr)
– Reindeer camp (2.5hrs)
Full details can be found here.
Entries will be judged by a panel of Transun judges (no canvasing for vote for this one – as lets face it we all hate those types of competitions!).
My Bucket List

Before we had the children Paul and I ticked a few of our MUST see destinations off of our list – We spent 3 weeks in Australia travelling from Sydney to Brisbane (and back again), visiting Nimbin, Byron Bay, Bondi Beach and the Blue Mountains along the way.  We also managed to climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge on our very last day!

We also went to Egypt for our Honeymoon, staying in Sharm el Sheik, visiting the Temples of Luxor and Karnack and the Valley of the Kings, the Pyramid’s and the Sphinx and taking a cruise along the Nile.

New ones we would like to add to our must see/do with the children are:

  • Great Barrier ReefThis is something we really wanted to do while in Australia the first time however there is only so much you can cram into one three week holiday realistically without needing another holiday on your return.
We have family in Australia so hope to be able to visit within the next 5 years.
  • Skiing in AustriaNeither Paul or I have been skiing before so obviously the children haven’t either.  We think they would absolutely love it and while I am terrified of the idea of getting on ski’s for the first time (I’m hugely accident prone and trip up my own feet all the time), we do think that the early the children try the better as after all kids have no fear.
  • Safari in AfricaIs there any need for an explanation here?  It would be one of those experiences of a lifetime, the kids would love it as much as we would – although possibly one for when they a little older as knowing Harry he would try to scare the Lions by roaring as loudly as possible.

  1. I never do these post. I made a pact with myself not to do them after they got me nowhere . However I was sold at Northern Lights! It is on my bucket list and ranks quite high so I will break my pact and sell my soul. I may cry lots when I don't win so please send me some tissues!

    1. Good luck lovely.
I also made a similar pact with myself but do cave when the prize is good, have to be in it to win it as they say, and I have managed to win a couple of cash prizes so it is possible.
Looking forward to reading your entry
