Blowing away the cobwebs

It’s been pretty wet recently, so as soon as the sun came out we were off.
It was a little wet underfoot but that was to be expected.
We headed to the park equipped with spare clothes, a flask of hot chocolate and a towel to dry the swings and slide.
Although the sun was shining the wind was also blowing and it was a little chilly however the faster you move the warmer you are – as I informed the kids.
They loved being outside blowing away the cobwebs of being stuck inside for so long.
Harry has discovered he can now climb the steps to the slide alone although prefers to try to copy Emmy by climbing up the wrong way!
A few hours in the sun was just what we needed, fun was had by all and Harry had a lovely long afternoon snooze and Emmy slept well too.
It’s amazing how a little sun and time outside can brighten everyone’s mood.

Park fun, playing in the sun on a windy sunny day, country kids, park fun,

I just love watching the kids have SO much fun.

Harry has come on leaps and bounds recently and just runs everywhere (as you can see) and climbs everything.

They get on so well and look out for each other, if one gets hurt the other kisses them better and cuddles them.  It’s amazing to watch them growing so close – the best of friends.

  1. Glad you got out in the sunshine, it makes a huge difference, being able to wear the kids out outside instead of being stuck indoors 🙂

  2. We have been loving the sunshine recently and taken a few trips to the park. I never thought of the simple tea towel idea! Would save me a few tantrums!
    Love x

  3. Looks like a great afternoon, and so lovely to see some sun! Well done on the hot chocolate, inspired, and on the towel, that's something we always forget to take 🙂

  4. It looks like they had a splendid time! And what a great idea to take a flask of hot chocolate with you! In this weather it's mandatory! 🙂

  5. I keep trying to push myself to get out there with the girls to the park and this might be the week we finally do it (stay away rain!)

  6. Blue skies, sunshine and fun at the park – perfect. What a lovely time they had and as you say they play so lovely together and have such fun and sleep well as a result. Thanks for linking up and sharing with Country Kids.
