Boot Slip-a design review & Scooter Slip-a design giveaway

Those of you who know me or who have been following this blog for a while will know that I have a Dog, Barney, a long haired Border Collie and that we live near Epping Forest.

We walk Barney over the fields next to our house twice a day so you can imagine the state of our wellies and shoes at the end of a very wet muddy day.

These are usually kicked off in our hallway, making a huge mess all over the tiles in the porch (I do try to keep shoes there so the mess is contained a little).

I have been sent an item which actually contains all of this mess and helps to keep my house clean – always a huge bonus if I have to clean less.  This product is by Slip-a designs and is called Boot Slip-a “The solution for wet and dirty boots” which helps to keep your floors clean and dry.

The Boot Slip-a is a circular wipe clean mat on which you place your muddy boots/shoes, pull up the cords around the sides and tighten, this then covers the boots and shoes and they can then be carried over your shoulder.  You can now carry your muddy shoes from the car, home from school or just as I have been doing – use for keeping the floors clean and dirt free.

As you can see, my hall is now tidy (for a change) and all of our boots are contained inside the bag.  This would have been great to take on holiday with us when we stayed on a working farm.  A big problem of mine around the house is that Emmy loves her welly boots – she doesn’t care if they are muddy or not, she will often go and put them on and plod around the house – I have now solved this problem with this product as once inside the Boot Slip-a she can’t find them!!

This product is to be launched on-line by the end of March, with Facebook and Twitter pages to follow shortly.  If you would like to see more from Slip-a design please visit their website

Competition Time
Also available from Slip-a designs is a Scooter Slip-a which covers the muddy/dirty wheels of scooters.  This is great to pop over the wheels after a park visit before popping the scooter into the car boot or for use in the home if you store the scooter there.
Simple to use – just in the same way as the as the boot slip-a !
“Lay the slip-a flattish and place the scooter centrally onto the material.
Grab both exposed parts of the webbing and pull to gather the slip-a tightly around the scooter.
Tighten the toggles to the slip-a”
I have kindly been given a Scooter Slip-a design to give away to one of my readers, these will be available for £17.95.
