What do you do when you’ve a packet of Angel Delight to use and no milk? Yes the answer to that should be wait until you go shopping however that’s way too boring – that’s why Harry and I have created Bubblegum & Chocolate Chip Cookies.
100g Brown Sugar
125g unsalted butter
225g Self Raising flour
1 packet of Bubblegum flavoured Angel Delight
Mix the sugar and the butter together until combined
Add the egg and mix again
Now fold in the flour and Angel Delight and add the chocolate chips too, keep folding in until all combined
Using a dessert spoon full of the cookie dough, roll into a ball and then flatten onto a lined/greased baking tray – space out well as they spread in the oven
Repeat until all the mixture is used (I made around 10 – it would have been more had Harry not been dropping it to the ground)
Bake in a the oven for 7-10 minutes at 200 degrees
The result is soft cookies with a Bubblegum taste and a pink centre (of course a hit with Emmy) – think of the Bubblegum you get in your sundae from the ice-cream man, it’s that kind of flavour. The kids both enjoyed these cookies.
Sadly when I did finally get some milk the kids weren’t keen on the new Bubblegum flavoured Angel Delight, the flavour was too strong for them.
It has made me want to try them with the original flavours though – chocolate used to be my favourite and I’m sure they would love it.
