Cantaloop Nursing Bra Review

When I was pregnant with Emmy Nursing bras seemed like a mind field, I had no idea what I was looking for, what was comfy or what size I needed.  I did what I always do and went to M&S in my late stages of pregnancy and was fitted for a Nursing bra….it did me, although wasn’t a great fit and when my milk came in it was rather tight, but I still wore it because lets face it they aren’t cheap are they?

What if I told you that you are able to get a bra that you could wear all through pregnancy, all three trimesters and then while you are nursing too and you can sleep in it too?  and you don’t need to get measured in the shop either….Yes it’s true and I’ve been wearing one for a while now and I love it.

Cantaloop nursing bra’s are available to buy in Boots stores and by pre-measuring yourself or knowing your size already means you are able to buy off the shelf.

To find your size you can measure yourself:

  • Step 1: Measure around your body, just under your breast (band size)
  • Step 2: Measure around your body, at the fullest part of your breast (bust size)
  • Step 3: The difference between your band and bust size gives your cup size

You then use this size guide to find the bra which fits you.

cantaloop size guide, nursing bras,

I am wearing a size 3L which is a perfect fit as I’m a 38DD in other bra’s.

Cantaloop bra’s are designed to fit to your changing breast shape, developed by TYTEX – the world’s leading name in specialist Medical Textiles.  Thanks to the strong, yet soft and elasticated yarns the 4 sizes fit more than 95% of bust sizes.

This bra is actually really comfortable, most nursing bra’s I’ve found cut in after a while of wearing however this one doesn’t do that and the larger 2 sizes have removable shoulder pads which help to give added support.

They have a drop down front, infact the whole front drops down which does take some getting used to as it feels like you are a little over exposed, however this does make for easy feeding and after a little practise you can undo and do up the clasps with one hand – it did take me a while to get used to I can now do without looking.

These wash up really well and are quick drying too.  They are really soft, supportive and are seamless too so can be worn under any top without anyone knowing your wearing a nursing bra.

Cantaloop nursing bra’s are available from the larger Boots stores and at Boots.com, priced at only £24 these are affordable for everyone.  You can find Cantaloop on Twitter and on Facebook – do pop over and say Hi as they may just be about to run a competition soon.
