Carnival Games Review & Giveaway

Carnival Games

With Summer a distant memory away now, getting outside for family fun and games gets a little harder with all the added layers which we now need to wear. Yes, we do still play outside but bowling, tennis and those such games are definitely summer sports.

That’s not to say we still can’t play but instead of being outside we have taken these family games inside and onto a screen – of course, we are still just as competitive!

Carnival Games is a new family favourite of ours, available on consoles for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 it has something for all the family with 20 exciting games for up to 4 players. Play on your own or against others – win and get rewards such as tickets for customisation items, but for us the real fun is beating each other, although I’m not allowed to win too often as the children moan far too much but once they are in bed Paul and I battle it out and there is no going easy on each other.

The game is set up like a fairground with mini-games you can play over and over again. To unlock the new games you need to collect game tickets so this means playing the same ones over and over for a little while but this wasn’t a problem for my children as it was a great way of them getting to grips with the controls.

With so many games (once unlocked) to play with this is one which will certainly be played a lot over the festive period when family come over to visit. You can Hit home runs, pile the highest stack of cakes, bowl, and take your horse to the finish line. You can shoot hoops, battle unfriendly clowns and even fly drone! There really is something for everyone on all levels.

I have found the children return to the same game over and over again when playing and do need a little coaxing to try the newer ones, especially if they don’t win first time around – although that’s the same with most games we play whether computer or board games, and you may prefer to play with the sound off or turned down as I did find the music repetitive and annoying after a time.

We are looking forward to having friends and family over at the weekend for a gaming battle.
