When our children leave our loving homes to go into School we pass their welfare for the day onto their teachers, people who our children respect and look up to. For those School hours, they are the protectors, the ones who look out for the pupils, care for their educational needs as well as emotional needs and their wellbeing.
Being a teacher isn’t just standing in a classroom from 9am-3pm, following a lesson plan then heading home. Their day starts well before you’ve even thought of leaving the house to walk/drive your child to school, there are meetings after school, marking done at home in their own time, lessons to plan, classrooms to prepare as well as nursing grazed knees, dealing with fights and fallouts, calming nerves and listening to anything which may be worrying our children.
They even manage to listen to our worries as parents before and after school, feedback messages and have the ability to memorise a class full of names in less than a week and remember parents faces in the same amount of time – I struggle to remember my children’s classmates even when they’ve been in the same class with them for a few years!
Teachers really are superheroes in disguise, only they receive less recognition and even less thanks.
The end of the school year is a perfect time to say Thank You to all those teachers out there and I have teamed up with One4All to help you do just that, a One4all Gift Card is the perfect token for Teachers to say Thank You at the end of term – as a personal gift, or as a great way to chip in with all the parents in your little one’s class for a group gift! Available to purchase online or from your local post office you can purchase cards from the value of £10 – £400 and can be redeemed in 50,000 retailers nationwide – you can find a full list of accepting retail partners online one4allgiftcard.com
Of course, teachers don’t do their job for thanks and would never ask for it which is why saying thank you is even nicer when it is unexpected – One4All would like to help you to say a special Thank You to a special teacher and have very kindly given me a £75 gift card to giveaway as a prize.
This, of course, won’t arrive with the lucky winner in time for the end of school but wouldn’t it be an amazing way to start the new school year in September by saying Thanks when they least expect it – or even to say Good Luck for the new school year.
