Buying gifts for adults is far harder than the kids I find, adults already have nearly everything they already need and if not they’ve gone out and purchased it themselves.
It’s a tricky one – you want to buy something special but then don’t want to break the bank at the same time, yes they may want the latest model phone or a new laptop/iPad but that’s way beyond most of our budgets at this time of year.
Here are a few ideas of gifts to suit all budgets, so where you are buying for your parents, partner or even siblings there should be something here to suit everyone.

Elizabeth Shaw Chocolates
Available from most good retails in the chocolate aisles, these make great little stocking filler gifts or even gifts for teachers – with two children in school they have numerous teachers and teaching assistants over the course of a week.
I like to make up a little hamper of chocolates and sweets which they can all share – this way I don’t worry about accidentally forgetting someone, which has happened in previous years.

Mary Poppins Umbrella
I’m not sure who was more excited by this delivery, Emmy or myself. It is actually supposed to be mine but as you can see she seems to have stolen it temporarily.
With the release of the brand new Mary Poppins movie imminent Paladone have released this amazing replica umbrella.
Full adults sized featuring the iconic parrot designed handle which is easy to grip for both children and adults alike. The umbrella itself is a lovely navy blue colour and features the classic Mary Poppins quote in white writing around the sides “Practically perfect in every way”.
Now the only question is – how do I steal it back from Emmy?
Personalised Fleece Blanket from Vistaprint – £54.50
I love giving personalised items as gifts, the whole process is just so much fun – from choosing the images I would like on them, designing the layout and wording to receiving the finished product.
There is something so special about personalised items for me, especially those which feature my children. Children grow far too fast so capturing those memories forever and looking back on them is just so lovely.
This personalised blanket from Vistaprint turned out far better than I hoped and making it up was just so easy.
It was just a case of choosing the size I wanted, there are 2 sizes available: 127cm x 152cm or 152cm x 203cm. You can choose for your blanket to be designed with the phots vertically or horizontally.
Add the photographs you want to add to your blanket, choosing a single photo or a collage of photographs. There are pre-selected layouts to help you or you could choose your own design – the choice is yours. Choose the background colour, add words, names etc until you are happy with your design.
I just love the finished effect, and delivery was super quick too.
