You know of our love for Butlins already which is why I am sharing this great competition with you, unfortunately Emmy is far too shy to enter, the thought of getting onto a stage would give her nightmares for a week, the School Christmas play was bad enough for her. Being centre of attention is just not her thing (well at home yes, but this is completely different), however you may know a little groover who would enjoy this so I am sharing with you with the hopes one of my lovely readers wins – Do let me know if you enter and are lucky!
Butlins are offering the five best young dancers across the UK a once-in-a-lifetime experience – to perform on a Butlins stage! Proud parents of budding Banjos simply need to submit a short video of their child showing off their dancing skills to social media sites using the #Miniversity hashtag.
The top five dancers – as picked by a judging panel – will not only get to perform a choreographed routine on a Butlins stage, where so many celebrities started out, but they will also win a trip to the sold out Dance with Diversity breaks. These breaks include the chance to participate in the Dance Academy, a money-can’t-buy opportunity for every young Craig Revel-Horwood and a chance to meet Diversity!
The criteria the judges will be looking for include:
· Natural ‘star quality’
· The most innovative take on the dance moves!
· General cuteness
To provide inspiration for wannabe movers, Butlins has brought in former child dancer, S Club Junior member and choreographer Aaron Renfree to create some step-by-step tutorials on how to perform the three dance moves, as voted by kids, hosted on www.butlins.com/miniversity.
TO ENTER #Miniversity, proud parents simply need to submit a short video of their child doing one of the top 10 moves (as voted for in the research) to the Butlins social media channels… @Butlins, www.facebook.co.uk/Butlins or Instagram.com/officialbutlins using the #Miniversity hashtag.
Top Ten Dance Moves of children aged 4-11
Entrants must be between 4-11, competition ends at 23.59pm on 8th February – full terms and conditions can be found here.
Good luck and do let me know if you enter, I would love to take a look!
