  1. One of my husband's best friends is getting married that weekend, so we are planning on enjoying the wedding and reception (both of which will be child-free) and then I am looking after a friend's 9 year old daughter for the day whilst she goes to the theatre.

  2. Ice creams, trips to the beach, laughter, BBQ's with friends and enjoying family time. We are also heading off on our first ever family holiday as a family of 4 this summer too! x

  3. If the weather is with us then I'm planning to have a picnic down the beach with my son and hubby or if not then an indoor bbq!

  4. I plan on spending the long weekend with my nearest and dearest. We're going to take full advantage of hubby's time off work, go to a few local attraction and spend the evenings in the garden eating yummy bbq food, weather permitting!

  5. The hubby and I plan on taking our girls for a few days around the North coast. They love to see the water, We can spend some time at the beach with an ice cream or two.

  6. I will be getting things ready for my weeks holiday that I leave for just over a week later. I will also be sunbathing in the garden if the weather suits and get my tan sorted before I go away as tanning wont be on my list of priorities when away, enjoying myself will be though!!!

  7. That Bank Holiday Monday is my dog training club's annual fun day, so that'll be full of antics and hilarity – it's always a lot of fun and a good laugh! Even the year it deluged with rain all afternoon…

Not quite sure what my plans for the Saturday and Sunday are yet, to be decided but probably involving family 🙂

  8. 1) First a long lie in Bed.
    2) Go out to eat a good breakfast
    3) Go for a walk in the country stopping at a Pub for a meal.
    4) Sunday a nice long lie in Bed again, Sunday Roast in a Pub, then Home for a lounge in a comfortable seat along with a Snooze.

  9. We are having a family party to celebrate my dad's 65th birthday, and I'm also hoping for some relaxation in the sunshine while my children play in the garden.

  10. I hadnt even realised we still had another bank holiday to go! Unfortunately I think I'll be working regardless due to the nature of my job (I work with animals, so I barely ever get holidays!), but hopefully I'll have something cute to cuddle, and I do love my job anyway 🙂

  11. My family have had a very difficult year so far, so we're hoping to make most of the summer by going on as many family days out as possible 🙂

  12. My daughter is off on a school trip, so I will be catching up with gardening and household stuff, not very exciting but I will make sure I have a treat of a relax and ice-cream in the garden.

  13. Definitely at home pottering around and tending to my garden. Too many people out and about during bank holidays and too much traffic!!!

  14. Tbh I really don't know yet. My husband only finds out his work shifts every month so a difficult to plan this far ahead atm. If the weather is nice though it would be lovely to find somewhere nice to take the dogs and a picnic 🙂

  19. We'll be praying for good weather as we celebrate our daughters 3rd Birthday with a 'Messy Play' in the garden!

  20. Im really lucky, as my birthday is 27th August, so every year, my birthday falls over the bank holiday weekend. and my hubby will be off work, we normally have a family BBQ depending on the weather

  21. At Alton Towers or Drayton Manor,it's my daughters 5th birthday on 31st August & she's always asking to go to both of the theme parks so just need to decide which one & make the arrangements

  24. It my stepson's 21st birthday on 31 August, so no doubt the mother-in-law (yes, I have one of those that arranges everything then tells us what we're doing later, despite any plans we might have made!) will be dominating the weekend!

  25. We are going to be having a long weekend away at the coast with the kids as a new family of 5 as our little boy is due July 16th so will be his first little holiday

  29. I'm an upper primary school teacher so I'll be making the most of my last weekend before the new term starts, catching up with friends and summer holiday gossip over a bottle of wine & a bbq in my garden.

  30. No plans as of yet. Lots of days out, picnics with the kids and hopefully some time in the pool in the garden if weather permits.

  31. Unfortunately, the 31st of August is not a bank holidays but if it was I would probably try to go back home to see my parents. We haven't seen them since Christmas. We would then probably plan for a BBQ and go and pick our own fruits. We just all love it

  32. My husband and I are planning a 'Sip and See Party' in our garden for our friends and family to look at our new baby girl for the first time. Then we plan on having a nice little meal with a bit of bubbly in celebration of our new arrival. (But of course not too much 😉

  33. It's our village Summer Fete this weekend, so we will be indulging in ice creams, no doubt lots of different rides, and I will probably purchase a cake or two for after dinner.
Sunday will be a quieter affair, we will visit my Grandparents and all go for a walk along our favourite coastal path.

  34. Well it's my wedding anniversary on the 27th so I am hoping my hubby might do something romantic for a change. It would be nice to be surprised with a fancy meal or whisked away for the weekend. But I didn't marry my husband for his romantic spontaneity so I won't hold my breath!

  35. Pottering around in the garden and getting the summer furniture out now it has finally warmed up. Hopefully I shall be able to sit out and read.

  36. A little bit of DIY, a little bit of barbecuing, a little bit of time with the extended family, a little bit of paddling pool time and a little bit of 'me' time = the perfect bank holiday!

  37. I am really excited for the next bank holiday as my partner and I are buying our first house, so we should be able to take advantage of the deals and get some lovely furniture and decor bits.

  43. We want to revamp our garden so we can all enjoy the space so we'll very probably be gardening or running cars full of rubbish to the tip! It's non stop glamour here 😉

  44. I will probably either be working, or working, but on the slight chance that I am not working, I will be enjoying the not working with BBQ food and some drinks with friends!

  47. Every summer bank holiday we get the whole of the in laws family together, all the kids play, the parents enjoy a bit of peace, the grandparents love playing with all the kids, aunt in law and her 2 adult kids plus the great grandmother all together for a nice picnic. Last year the kids even went for a paddle in a little stream nearby 🙂

  48. Not decided 100% yet but probably a trip to the seaside, weather permitting of course 😀 Rafflecopter entries are in my real name NIKKI HAYES

  49. I'll be working the Monday so will be hoping to head to the beach with the family over the weekend and making the most of the (hopefully) hot August weather!

  50. That bank holiday is LP's 4th Birthday. We're planning on a weekend away somewhere – Drayton Manor, CBeebies Land or even Euro Disney! x

  51. I hope to be sitting in the garden watching the older children play in the paddling pool while hubby cooks up[ a BBQ and Eliza sleeps in the pram beside me. Bliss.

  52. I just want to spend the time with my two children – preferable away from home and distractions, they deserve me to concentrate on them, without the need to clean the house, work, etc etc. – Now, if that was possible somewhere near a beach and if I could persuade their Grandmother to join us, then that would be perfect 🙂

  53. Hopefully we're moving house August/September so bank holiday will be spent camping with a big group of family and friends, great for a catch up and mini break! Can't wait 🙂

  54. My dad and brother are helping me to lay decking in my back garden so we can enjoy Summer bbqs. I have already painted my garden fence a lovely heritage blue colour – next on the agenda is my shed – so busy busy!
