How on earth are we in June already? The year is absolutely flying away with us and I for one am certainly not ready nor organised for Father’s Day at all, so while I quickly browse the internet in a bid to pretend to have sorted weeks ago I will share the items which have currently grabbed my attention, some of which I have heard about via press releases, some have been sent to us and the other are sitting in my basket waiting for me to find the energy to walk downstairs to grab my purse to check them out.
Father’s Day of course is mainly about showing and telling that special man how much they are appreciated as let’s face it if we did it too often their heads would swell! Homemade gifts are also nice but we don’t always have time for that, I do however make sure the children make homemade cards for their Dad and also for their Grandad’s too. As I have 3 men to buy for for this occasion I have added gifts suitable for all ages into our guide as I am purchasing for my husband (from the kids) and both Paul’s Dad and mine.

All men like to have their own space to call their own, even if it is a corner or the front room, a desk or in Paul’s case is a desk in the corner of our front room which he has decorated with art work, pictures of the children and their drawings.

This is a gift I’ve had made up for Paul from the children. Whiskey is his drink of choice and this is a lovely large glass which comes with “You are: Superb, Fantastic, Excellent” pre-inscribed and you them choose your own inscription. I have kept it simple so it says “Daddy” and the top and “Love Emily & Harry” underneath.

Now I now Paul would hate sandals as a gift however they are very practical for when we go down into the stream for pond dipping with the children or for popping on to run around the garden chasing the children around the garden having a water fight (they never put away their toys and stepping on them really hurts). These would be easy to put on quickly and easy to get off again once they were wet.
A very cute pair of socks which a matching pair for little feet. This would make an adorable gift from a small child to their fathers as after all little boys (and girls) look up to their Dad’s so why wouldn’t they love to dress the same too.
