Finding Dory comes to Specsavers

The weekend before last we were very kindly invited by Specsavers to attend a private screening of the brand new Finding Dory movie at the truly wonderful Disney HQ.  We have been lucky enough to have been here now on three occasions and it is somewhere I will never tire of going as the magic is never lost – no matter how old I get.  Disney is NOT just for kids after all.
To celebrate the launch of the much awaited sequel to Finding Nemo, Finding Dory hit cinemas on the 29th July and just in time Specsavers have launched a new addition to their kids frames range – these can be found in-stores from 20th July.
Children’s glasses from Specsavers are designed to ensure the best anatomical fit for young faces.  The new Finding Dory glasses are priced at £64 and are FREE for under-16’s with an NHS optical voucher.
All the glasses in the kids range come with flex-hinge and scratch resistant lenses with a UV filter.  Children can also choose a second pair of frames in the Specsaver’ kids get two free pairs offer because we all know that children play hard and accidents happen so having a spare pair to hand and ready is always a must.
There are 4 pairs of Finding Dory frames available for children to choose from:
With different characters from the movie on the arms of the glasses, children can choose from Dory, Nemo, Hank with colours to suit every style.
Emmy and Harry had great fun trying on these glasses and of course having glasses envy as neither of them wear glasses currently.  They also had their faces painted or arm in Emmy’s case before heading into the cinema to watch the movie in 3D.  They were both glued from the off – this colourful sequel will grip young viewers and you will be left willing Dory along in her journey to find her long lost parents.
After our visit we continued on a sealife adventure by heading to the kids favourite place – The Sealife Aquarium where you will find Dory and her friends hidden in the tanks and around the Aquarium – you can find out fun facts about your favourite characters as well as collecting the letters hidden in the tanks and once you’ve unscrambled the letters you can collect your reward before you leave.
We finally exchanged our Merlin vouchers for our passes so we are now set for a summer filled with adventures.  This week I will have a post on how to enjoy the SeaLife Centre during busy periods such as the summer holidays (it can be rather busy during these times).

Disclaimer:  We were invited by Specsavers to attend the Dory screening and are Merlin Pass Ambassadors who are kindly providing our family with a year filled with Merlin fun adventures.
