With their help I am just beginning to embark on the whole bedtime routine with Harry with the end result of getting him dry at night.
At the age of 3 (4 in October) he is still very young and it isn’t something we have tackled yet as he is wet at night most nights/wakes with a wet pyjama pant. We have now moved him into DryNites® pyjama pants to wear at bedtimes under his pyjamas – he really likes these are they look and feel like underwear with a Spiderman design on the front just like the pants he wears during the day. He is able to pull them on himself which helps to enforce confidence building and he can also pull them down again if he needs to.
We will be documenting our progress and helping to show you that bedwetting shouldn’t be a Taboo subject. Did you know that 1 in 4 children aged 4 will wet the bed? Bedwetting is a perfectly normal part of growing up and affects more than 900,000 children and young people in the UK
It really isn’t uncommon and is why DryNites® are actually available in a wide range of sizes up to 15 years of age and it can actually be hereditary so if you wet the bed until a later age as a child then your child may follow suit, and if both parents were bed wetter’s then there’s a 70% chance your child will too.
Here is my first Vlog on the beginning of our journey, take a look to find out Harry’s bedtime routine and don’t forget you can subscribe so you won’t miss the follow up Vlogs. (This is my first ever Vlog so please excuse the nerves).
