Free Birds Review and Giveaway

Emmy and Harry were sent a new DVD to watch, this is a new movie to us, one we’ve not seen before and it actually doesn’t come out on DVD until 24th March so we were very lucky, thanks eOne!

Free Birds tells a story of Reggie (Owen Wilson) who is a Turkey with brains.  Living in a flock on the farm he realises that the Turkey’s may being fattened up for a purpose.

When he is kicked out of the coop he finds himself being taken care of by the presidents daughter who wants him as a pet.  He is no longer destined for the dinner table he has been pardoned and lives a life of luxury at Camp David eating pizza and watching TV.

That is until Jake (Woody Harrelson) changes things.  Jake is the founder and only member of the Turkey Freedom Front, he has a secret mission to accomplish and needs Reggie’s help.  He kidnaps Reggie in the middle of the night.  Together they time travel back in time to save all Turkeys, change the course of history and stop Turkeys from being eaten.

Emmy and Harry loved this, Emmy had the giggles through most of it and Harry stayed glued to his seat almost the entire time.

Full of blunders and mistakes this crazy pair are determined to start what they set out to do at all costs.

This movie is 91 minutes long and definitely one you can watch again and again.

  1. Usually anything Disney but I recently put Toy Story 3 on for my son and he loved it and we've watched it 3 times since as he cuddles up to watch it so that's our favourite at the mo x
