FREE interactive primary school weather session with Tutorful #AD

free interactive weather session with tutorful

With the Summer holidays drawing to a close now, we have a last week of fun, games and a trip to London planned to end the break with a final bang.

Emmy has just completed a week of Summer school at her new secondary school, and while she was apprehensive to start with – she has excelled and loved every minute of it – even gaining a superstar award yesterday, making us very proud of her.

When Harry found out she was heading off to school, he was a little disappointed that there wasn’t that option for him, so when Tutorful got in touch telling us about their FREE interactive primary school session they are hosting along with Amazelab he was super happy when I signed him up.

The session is aimed at primary school children of all ages and is free to attend – you have to book your session via the eventbrite website to gain your space before the session starts at 1pm on 31st August. (There is also a session for older children at 2.30pm on Forces and Motion)

You can sign up here: Tutorful Talks

This hour-long session helps children to discover the amazing world of Weird Weather with this interactive session. During this workshop, they will create their very own snow, rain, and even a tornado whilst learning all about the weather!

You do need to collect up a few items before the class – don’t worry, these are all household items which you will have around your home.

Here is the list of things you will need to collect to make your weather in the class:

  • Jar/Container
  • Straw/Pipette
  • Small Container/Cup
  • Shaving Foam (not gel)
  • Blue Food Colouring

  • Water
  • Baking Soda
  • Bowl
  • Shaving Foam (not gel)
  • Glitter
  • Spoon

To make a Tornado, you’ll need:

  • Test Tube/Container
  • Blue Food colouring
  • Washing Up Liquid
  • Vinegar
  • Water

The list may seem like a lot of things but if you look closely, you will see that many of the items are doubled up and repeated.

Let us know if you sign up and enjoy this session – I will be sharing pictures and images of Harry joining in on Tuesday on my social media channels and will include a write-up of how he got on later on the day here on the blog.
