You will have seen the post I wrote yesterday on the positives of additional tuition, as parents we want the best for our children and at times that may mean additional help.
In a classroom setting children learn at different speeds, some may power through the work set without needing any intervention or additional help, while others may need things explaining in a different way and even more than once. Due to the way different children learn and retain information it can be hard to gear all classroom lessons to suit everyone’s needs, although we know the teachers try very hard to do so, there are only so many hours in the school day.
One of the biggest advantages of private tuition is that lessons can easily be customised to suit each student. Students will benefit from the fact that a tutor can adjust the pace, focus and goals of a lesson depending on their needs and abilities.
Classroom lessons can often be quite rigid in their learning style, as they often have very set goals and a strong reliance on textbooks. Private classes usually have a less formal approach though, and so are more flexible as a result. This leaves tutors free to use whichever materials and learning styles which they deem most useful, meaning they can grab the child’s attention and therefore get them to focus in a way that interests them.
With the focus in schools already gearing up towards SATs, now is the perfect time to look into private tuition if you feel your child could do with with a little helping hand.
I have teamed up with Matr.org to bring you this latest giveaway where one lucky reader will win FOUR 50-minute private online Maths tuition sessions with a highly qualified tutor.
Their tutors are Maths experts trained to teach KS2 national curriculum to 7 to 11 year-olds. There really isn’t anything their tutors don’t know about what is going to come up on those SAT’s papers and will help your child prepare for it, you can find their SATs programme here.
For your chance to win this great prize for your child, please enter via the rafflecopter form below. This giveaway is open to UK residents only and new Matr.org clients only. This Giveaway will close at midnight on 10th March 2019. Good Luck.
