At the start of the year I promised myself I would make more time for me and also for Paul and I as a couple. You see the hard part of being self-employed and working from home is actually finding the time to get that work done – it’s piling up around me constantly and currently I feel I am swimming in a sea of Jelly, barely keeping my head afloat and if I’m honest it is really getting me down.
My to-do-list are getting out of hand, my inbox is over flowing and I need a break. Sadly it won’t be changing any time soon.
I had thought that with Harry at Pre-School 3 mornings a week I would have a chance to get more work done during the daytime, hey any work done during the week would have been nice. What I hadn’t accounted for was the added 45 minutes – 1 hour school run added into my day. I now spend just under 3 hours a day walking the school run for both children and this means that in the evening when I usually start working I am so tired I fall asleep.
This cycle isn’t going to change anytime soon so on the days I am shattered I have decided to not even attempt to work but to instead snuggle down and rest.
We recently joined the Netflix team as #NetflixSteamTeam members which means that we get to find out the latest news coming to our screens before it happens and we can bring that news to you too.
We do love our Netflix subscription as it is so useful to watch our favourite shows when we want them but not only that as I have it on my phone it is invaluable at keeping the kids entertained when they are bored and we are out – on Sunday we went out to dinner with Paul’s parents and Harry started to play up as young children do tend to do after a while. It was so useful to put on a new movie for Harry on my phone which he loved and kept him enthralled until his meal arrived.
