Guest Post: Planning your family vacation to Brazil in 2014

Brazil is ideal for travel, sunbathing, sightseeing, the World Cup 2014, and children! When you’re planning your family vacation this year…the country of Brazil is the perfect destination! Children of all ages are welcomed into bars, restaurants, and many after-hour celebrations. From the World Cup to the Iguaçu Falls, there is something amazing for everyone.

The 2014 FIFA World Cup… Plus:

In June and July the FIFA World Cup will take hold of Brazil. The largest country in S. America, and the fifth largest in the world, will host soccer matches in twelve separate cities. The World Cup provides a spectacular range of activities for the entire family, as well as great world cup betting tips.
Renowned for soccer, expansive beaches, colonial architecture, majestic waterfalls and natural wonders, the Amazon Rainforest, and unusual wildlife, Brazil offers more than almost any other location on the planet.

Travelling through Brazil:

Moving from one location to another does require a certain amount of planning, especially with children in tow. The majority of hotels accommodate children (though most add a 10-25% surcharge) for children 6 to 12 years of age, although this cost is often negotiable. Many visitors fly from one city to the next, however most flights have been pre-booked. It’s possible to rent a car or take a bus between locations. The bus-transportation system is dependable, extensive, and relatively inexpensive. (Keep in mind that your child may need a notarized document that verifies parental consent when accompanying another relative or only one parent. A notarized-stamped letter from the Brazilian embassy or consulate may help avoid confusion.) A few of the top family travel destinations are listed below.

Rio de Janeiro:

We recommend beginning your travels in Rio de Janeiro. The Copacabana Beach, Corcovado, and Sugar Loaf provide the flavour and excitement of Brazil… complete with sand, music, and nightlife. Drink soda (and beer) in Santa Teresa, dance a little samba, and eat your evening meal after midnight (the kids will love this)!

Olinda and Porto de Galinhas:

Heading south, take your family to visit the historic cities of Salvador. Olinda is an artist’s delight, famous for puppet designs preforming at the acclaimed Puppet Museum. Enjoy an afternoon; sip beverages at a sidewalk café, then travel on to the village of Porto de Galinhas nestled by the sea. Swim, snorkel, and explore the tide pools for interesting fish and crustaceans.

The Amazon:

Travel northwards to Manaus. Experience the Amazon Rainforest and the beautiful historical city of Manaus. Stay in a jungle lodge and enjoy the exotic plant and animal life.

Iguaçu Falls:

A family vacation in Brazil just doesn’t seem complete without a visit to Iguaçu Falls, one of the most incredible natural wonders. Plan to spend at least a couple days experiencing over 200 of the most majestic falls in the world, from above (spectator points and by helicopter) and below (by foot and on a river raft)!

Keep in mind the broad range of weather conditions, and be aware of security precautions at all times. Most importantly… enjoy the vacation of a lifetime! The World Cup is just one great reason to take your family on a vacation to Brazil this year… the rest is up to you!

  1. We need to remember that millions of people are watching films out there
which they believe in and if we can steer them to the truth of God.
Well not too far from the gallery is a lake which is
open all year for swimming. Old Fort Park in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, is part
of the ruins of the Dr.
