Healthy with a touch of naughty on top – Making Fruit Popsicles

We’re feeling HOT HOT HOT!!!
Summer is here, School holidays have hit and my kiddies want to be outside all of the time, that’s a good thing and I encourage it.
They especially love bouncing on the trampoline.
In this weather it just makes them even hotter though so a great way to help cool down are ice lollies, now given the chance they would happily live on mini milks however that isn’t going to happen any time soon.
This week they have been helping to make healthy alternatives.
Get your minds out of the gutters!!! These are kids popsicles
Banana and Chocolate popsicles:
What you need:
  • 2 bananas
  • 500g milk chocolate
  • 4 lolly sticks
  • hundreds and thousands
  • Baking Tray
  • Grease Proof paper
  • Microwavable bowl
  • Spoon
How to make:
  • Line the baking tray with grease proof paper
  • Break the chocolate into the bowl and microwave for 45 seconds (keep checking and stirring, add for a further 20 seconds, stir and repeat until melted)
  • Meanwhile, cut the bananas in half and insert the lolly sticks
  • Place these on the baking tray
  • Remove the melted chocolate and spoon over the banana – lay onto the baking tray once covered
  • Cover in hundreds and thousands
  • Repeat with all bananas
  • Freeze for at least 1 hour

  •  Enjoy!
