Emmy loves to paint.
When she gets up it’s the first thing she asks to do and will then ask to do it about 4 more times a day even if she has already done it.
Now painting that often becomes expensive as she gets through a LOT of paint.
Searching on the internet for some cheaper options I can across this brilliant recipe for Homemade finger paints from Easie Peasie and knew I had to try it for myself.
I loved the idea of homemade paint as Harry loves to join in and being only 10 months old he obviously eats it. Making my own paint wouldn’t stop him eating the pain but at least I would know exactly what he was eating.
3 Tablespoons Sugar
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1/2 Cup Corn Flour
2 Cups of Water
Combine all of the above ingredients into a pan and warm on a medium heat, keep stirring until the mixture thickens and then allow to cool down.
Spoon into pots – I used baby food jars, then add food colouring and stir well.
Emmy loved trying these out and they worked well.
