Now as much as I love giving gifts over the festive season, for me Christmas really begins when the festive food and drinks enter the house.
I’m not talking Turkey and Mince Pies here, I’m talking about all the flavoured drinks, cocktails and Cheese hampers – It is the festive season and this is my favourite time of year.
Of course as much as I love eating and drinking, I know that my friends and family do too so here are some of the gifts I have chosen for those family members this year – and of course myself – I’m sure I’m not the only one who buys themselves gifts when purchasing for others am I?
Great Chase Trio Gift Set 3 x 5cl – £17.95
Three miniatures of Chase premium spirits. Now everyone loves a novelty gift so this is a great gift for spirit lovers in the household especially if you aren’t sure which is their tipple of choice. This set is contained within a secret compartment of a faux Union Flag ‘box book’. This set contains three miniatures from Chase Distillery’s signature range – Chase Vodka, Williams GB Gin and Chase Elderflower Liqueur.
Tia Maria – £15-17 stockists nationwide
This is a drink which I like to drink at Christmas, Usually a Gin drinker this is one I like to have after a large dinner in my coffee and of course can be used to make a lovely coffee cocktail.
Tia Maria has an exotic infusion of natural vanilla and the finest fresh Arabica coffee beans roasted to perfection.
Pasta and Sauce Gift set from Carluccios – £29.95
We are all huge Pasta lovers in this household so this gift set really appealed to me, a lovely way to try different tastes and textures.

Enough to make at least 4 different pasta meals for the whole family.
A purely selfish selection here, I LOVE cheese and wine so if anyone is really stuck with a gift to buy me this year you won’t go wrong with a cheese board or a cheese hamper – what isn’t to love?
This one come with: Ladeare Verde Merlot 37.5cl, Mrs Bridges Christmas Chutney 100g, Pumpkin Seed and Cranberry biscuits for Cheese 125g, Blue Stilton Wedge 200g, West Country Farmhouse Cheddar Truckle Floppy Top 200g, Double Gloucester with Chives and Spring Onion 200g all contained within a wire cheese basket.
Of course that is just one example, I’d be happy with any cheese hamper and you could even forget the wine but not the crackers!
I found these while browsing gift unusual gift ideas for my best friend and what isn’t to love? Olives infused with alcohol! Pure genius I have to say and why have I not tried these nor heard of them before?
This is a gift set of 3 jars of Olives: Lemon Gin, Tequila and Vodka
Of course there are far more food and drink I’ll be purchasing over the festive period including pate, brandy cream and mince pies because Christmas calories don’t count do they?
