Introducing Rubik’s Junior puzzles & Giveaway

I think it’s pretty safe to safe that everyone my age has at one point in their lives owned a Rubik’s cube.

We have a few dotted around the house and no matter how many times I have tried or how long I spent twisting the squares, turning the sides I have never been able to complete it once it has been messed up, neither has Paul.

There were times when I was young when I would sit and pull off the stickers and pretend to have completed it but of course no-one believed me and I was only cheating myself. Emmy and Harry have also enjoyed trying to solve one over the years but get very frustrated when they are unable, with Emmy even breaking one to pieces in a rage once.

With this in mind Rubik’s now have a range designed for younger children – the junior range, a huge step away from the boring square shape these are fun animal shaped simple puzzles.

With a Dog, Cat, Bear and a Rabbit to choose from these are priced at £9.99 each or £15.99 for the Bear and Rabbit together.

Cat and Dog Junior Rubik

These puzzle toys are aimed at children aged 3-9 (I’d personally say 3-6 years as Emmy got bored with it immediately as it was far too simple for her, while Harry really loved them).

The cute twistable character is so easy to grip and turn, with the animal fitting perfectly into small hands.

Junior Rubik's puzzles

Just twist the blocks to create a crazy mixed-up animal, but with relatively few combinations these are really easy to put back together again so children won’t end up as frustrated as us adults do with the original square cubes.

Although these are very simple in design, Harry has found them really entertaining over the Christmas break and likes to hold them and twist them while watching TV as a way of keeping his hands busy.

You can find the full range over on the website.
