Having a baby can be expensive, they need lots of equipment. Take Nursery furniture for instance – cot, changing table, wardrobe, drawers and that’s before the pram, car seat, clothes and toys etc.
Recently Harry was sent a cot from a new nursery brand Mokee. Mokee are a UK based online brand who specialise in stylish and colourful nursery products which are very affordable.
Who says a basic cot needs to be boring?
These certainly are far from boring, just look at the colour options available:
There are 5 colour options available: Snow White, Stone Teal, Grey Stone, Ivory Plum & Stone Blue. All exactly the same just in a wonderful colour selection made from high quality Birch wood.
These cots have 2 height positions – the highest for small babies, for use up until they can pull themselves to standing, then lowered to the bottom setting. With most cots they have fixed sides – this however doesn’t, you are able to remove one of the side to make into a toddler bed prolonging the life of the cot. Now the website says these can be used in the toddler bed style until 3 years old however that would depend of the size of your child.
Emmy is a tall 3 year old (actually she is 3 years and 7 months old) and she still has plenty of room in this bed, it would definitely last her past her 4th birthday and more than likely a little longer too.
The size of this cot is 120cm x 60cm so it will fit a standard sized mattress or you can buy them with the cot from Mokee.
Mokee mattresses have a Aloe Vera infused quilted soft cover which is fully removable and machine washable, the mattress itself is made of 9cm deep foam and meets all safety tests, as does the cot.
It looks great doesn’t it? Of course I had to test it out with Harry and then Emmy just to make sure and they agree it is comfy – infact it was set up as a temporary measure in Emmy’s room for this review however she is not parting with it just yet and wants to sleep in it herself or wants Harry to continue sleeping in her room (this will, when Emmy agrees
to it being moved live at Nanny’s house for sleepovers – here’s hoping to many more of those!)
