Sorry yet another round up – and it’s not been a pretty 2 weeks, we have been really ill. Worse than we have ever been before.
This post will explain it all, it’s been really tough and I won’t lie – there have been lots of tears and a huge amount of worrying, especially with Harry who showed no signs of getting better.
However we are all over it now and that HAS to be the end of our bad run, please let it be!
So here’s our week – and there are a few gaps as I didn’t get out of bed.
A wonderful early Mother’s Day present arrived from Photo Box, a wonderful surprise and so very thoughtful. This was made using one of my Instagram pictures, this picture is my favourite of the two children and this cushion is amazing. It’s now in pride of place on my bed. With prices starting from £26.99 this really is a wonderful Mother’s Day gift.
This tummy bug has really done Harry in now – it’s showing now signs of leaving and he is worn out.
A nice walk to School and a rare occasion which Emmy allowed me to do her hair.
New pans – I was so fed up with my old ones that I have been saving up for some decent ones.
No picture I’m afraid – I had to ask Paul to take a day off of work and I took to bed all day and night. I slept all the time. Paul picked Emmy up from School and she had a fever.
Emmy spent the day on the sofa and was asleep most of the day, this was my poorly girl asleep in my bed – she always wants to sleep with Mummy when poorly.
An indoor game of giant Connect Four from Big Game Hunters. This arrived for review today and the kids couldn’t wait to play, as it arrived in the evening of course it had to be set up in the front room.
My parents came over for the afternoon and I retreated to bed again – still not over this virus and feeling ridiculously poorly, Paul went out for medicines for me.
Emmy was a little quiet today and soon we found out why – she found the scissors and gave herself (and Harry) a hair cut. Thankfully it wasn’t too bad.
No picture today again – It was mainly spent in the doctors. Emmy and I have a nasty virus and we also had to get Harry checked for dehydration as he still has his tummy bug.
Crafting to cheer up the children – Fairy Cards. This was a huge hit and Emmy made everyone cards.
This little lady is feeling so poorly that a even new toys couldn’t make her smile.
Emmy had been off of School for a week and had to go back to School, she was well enough to go however was lacking energy and weak – She had a School trip today and a few hours in the forest on a Gruffalo hunt was a little too much. She fell asleep on the sofa at 4.30pm while Harry went off to see the Octanaults Live with Daddy. She was cross she missed out but the sleep was better for her, there will be other shows for her.
It was Emmy’s Gold Star Assembly today which means the parents of that class can go and watch. I was extremely proud as she received 2 awards – 1 was a lunchtime award and the second was a Gold Award for interaction and gaining confidence in class, joining in with group work and class discussions.
This is a HUGE thing for Emmy as she is very shy within School and prefers to sit quietly not joining in, it’s been a very big concern of mine.
