Project 366 – Days 1-9

I managed to join in with Project 365 successfully in 2014 and was so pleased that I managed to have a whole year of daily photographs to look back on, I embarked on a second year last year and made it halfway through the year when sadly I made the decision to stop as for a week I sat by my mil’s bedside with the family and took no photographs at all, then I just didn’t have the push to finish as my attention was needed elsewhere.
I am now back and ready to embrace a new year and a years worth of photographs.  This year is a leap year hence it being 366.
Without further ado – here is our first post, the first 9 days of January.

Day 1 – January 1st and the Christmas tree came down and I spent a few hours rearranging the play room area and finding home for all the children’s new toys.  This is half of the play room – I moved around all the bigger toys and created new home corners.

Day 2 – Fed up with Turkey, Mince Pies and Chocolate – lunch today was a nice change from the junk eaten over Christmas.

Day 3 – A Sunday dog walk with a difference, the Air Ambulance landed in the field near our house so we went to see it and the children watched it take off again.

Day 4 – A very tired girl was up a lot during the night coughing and really wasn’t feeling the back to school vibes today.  She had to go but wasn’t happy about it.

Day 5 – A very exciting email arrived for me today – it was from Just Giving and was to congratulate me on being so successful in my fundraising for Cancer Research UK last year.  I was thrilled and have to thank everyone who sponsored Emmy and I after we completed the Race For Life the day after losing my MIL, Emmy’s Nanny.

Day 6 – I snuck the children’s bedtime companions into the washing machine today while they were in school – it was a frantic rush to dry them before they returned home.

Day 7 – I spent a few hours this morning upcycling a plain white bedside unit for Harry’s Pirate themed bedroom.  I painted the sides Blue and added this wonderful Pirate Wallpaper to the top and drawers.  I am so pleased with the result. You can see how I made this here.

Day 8 – It’s almost party time!  Emmy wants a party for her 6th birthday in February.  I’ve hired a hall and her uncle who is a party entertainer will be doing a magic party for her.  It was time to write the class invites – 40 of these now written to hand out at school.

Day 9 – We’re going to the Zoo, Zoo, Zoo.  A fun filled day at London Zoo where I almost lost Emmy when this fierce Hippo thought it was lunch time.

That concludes the beginning of our new year and I am linking up with up with The Boy and Me who is now back hosting 366 (365) back where it belongs – click on the badge below to find other 366 posts from fellow bloggers.
