Review: The Adventurer – The Curse of the Midas Box DVD

Once again we have been lucky enough to get our hands on an advanced copy of a new DVD which will be released on 27th October.  This new film is called The Adventurer – The Curse of the Midas Box.
This movie, while a PG I would suggest is more suitable to watch with older children or to enjoy as an adults movie night when the kids are in bed.  We started watching with Emmy and Harry but soon felt it wasn’t appropriate to watch – not through any adult just the content went over their heads and they couldn’t follow the story at all.
An all-star cast features in this family fantasy movie, set as the steam age takes hold in Victorian London, Mariah Mundi’s life is turned upside down when his parents vanish and his younger brother kidnapped.

After an encounter with a stranger, Mundi follows a trail of clues to the majestic Prince Regent Hotel where gains employment to go undercover and soon discovers a hidden realm of child-stealing monsters, deadly secrets and a long lost artefact with the potential to grant limitless power at a devastating supernatural cost. With the fate of his world and his family at stake, Mundi will risk everything to unravel the Curse of the Midas Box!

Forging forbidden friendships along the way with twists and unforeseen turns this epic adventure film keeps you on the edge of your seats and second guessing what comes next.

Starring Aneurin Barnard as Mariah Mundi, THE ADVENTURER: THE CURSE OF THE MIDAS BOX also features a wealth of household names, including Michael Sheen, Sam Neill, Ioan Gruffudd, Lena Headey and Keeley Hawes.
Paul and I really enjoyed this movie and it’s one you can watch over again and again.

Released on DVD from 27th October and available from all good supermarkets, stores and online.
