Review: Marley Spoon a recipe kit delivery service

I do like trying out new recipes with the family, I have shelves full of cookery books however by the time I’ve decided what to make and make a list of ingredients I will need I either forget that list when shopping or can’t find half of the ingredients in the store.

Recently Marley Spoon asked if I would like to try their service with our family and I jumped at the chance and I will tell you why.  Not only can you pick out a meal you would like to make as you would in your recipe books but once chosen all the ingredients needed to prepare the meal are then delivered to you – no forgetting an essential ingredient, the hassle of shopping is removed and everything is ready for you on a specified delivery date ready for you to cook; along with clear and detailed cooking instructions with picture guides to follow too.

Marley Spoon is a newly launched recipe kit delivery service that makes it easy to cook at home by sending inspiring recipes and fresh ingredients directly to your door.

Prices start from just £5.50 per meal, this is a subscription service where you can have your chosen recipe ingredients delivered as often as you choose.  You can pause or stop the service at anytime, so perhaps you would like to try a one off box, or even once a month/week the choice is yours.

Each week 7 recipes are available for you to choose from, you choose which you would like to make and for how many people, you then choose when you would like your ingredients delivered.  Each week you will be emailed the recipes choices for the following week so you can choose what you would like to make – you can of course stop/pause deliveries at any time.

I chose Sun Dried Tomato and Feta Lamb Burger with Greek Salad for 4 people.

The recipe cards are very clear and easy to follow.

All ingredients come pre-weighed in separate containers for ease, this really speeds up the cooking process an you can just open a container and pour it in (herbs for instance).

Any addition ingredients you may need are listed on the recipe cards so you don’t get half way through and find out you are missing something – this is usually something yo9u would have indoors anyway such as oil.

The end result was delicious, the children liked getting involved and helping to make our meal.

These boxes would be good for a change from your usual meal plans – I don’t know about you but we often stick to the same meals and rotate – these help to mix up a little without the hassle of having to shop.

If you would like to try out this service for yourself then please do use code MarleyEats at checkout which gives the first 50 first time users £25 off their first order.

Disclaimer:  We received a meal for 4 in exchange for an honest write up, all thoughts and opinions are our own.
