Review: Men’s Trespass Pembroke Waterproof 3 in 1 jacket

We are now officially into Summer but this is England after all and the weather doesn’t always seem to be on the correct season page, heck its often miles out and quite frankly this week has seen more cold and wet weather than we should expect with one day apparently colder than Christmas day – what is that all about?
As we can’t rely on the weather playing ball it is always nice to have clothing which is up to the job instead so Paul was rather pleased when he received this Trespass Pembroke Waterproof Insulated 3 in 1 Jacket from Outdoor Look, especially as the coat I purchased for his 2 years ago was fast falling apart and coming undone at the seams sadly.

Outdoor Look, Trespass Pembroke Waterproof 3 in 1 jacket, review

This jacket offers great versatility as it can be worn as a lightweight waterproof jacket for those warmer days where there is the chance of passing showers but doesn’t warrant taking a heavy coat out with you – you just remove the inner jacket and wear the outer coat.  You’ve then the option of wearing only the inner jacket on cooler dry days/evenings or of course combining together to make a warm waterproof coat.
By having the 3 in 1 option it makes this coat great value of money (the RRP is £105.07 however this is currently on offer from Outdoor Look for £55.28) as you have the versatility of wearing this 3 different ways – or if your wife leaves her coat at home and then moans she is cold you can give one layer over to her and you will look like a gentleman while still keeping yourself covered up, yes I am that wife that does that often!
The Pembroke Waterproof jacket uses tres-shield technology and taped seams which helps to make it waterproof up to 5,000mm and windproof too.  The functional coating and surface treatments help to repel water and wind to keep you warm and dry, while the coldheat insulation technology helps to trap your bodyheat inside of the jacket to keep you warm.

The hood of this jacket is fully adjustable and can be zipped off when you don’t need it, there are 2 zipped pockets on the outside (one each side) which are perfect for storing your phone, wallet or keys securely in and by zipping them it means your valuables won’t fall out when you are moving around or when up stand up as can tend to happen.
The is a hem drawcord which means you can tighten it to prevent drafts coming in and elasticated cuffs.
Available in 3 colour options: Blue, Brown and Black and sizes from XS all the way to XXL and also comes with FREE delivery – visit for further details.

Paul has been wearing this as his main coat for a few weeks now and has found it easy to move around in, with no movement restrictions.  The pockets are deep enough for all his belongings barring his tablet and kindle and it has kept him not only warm on the cold evenings when walking Barney but also dry when he has been caught in the downpours we have annoyingly been having.   The removable hood is a little annoying as he is used to having the option of folding it away into the collar of his old coat and the children seem to find it really funny to unzip this and wear or hide. It is comfortable worn together with both layers and also alone and due to it being very lightweight it is easy to fold/roll up and to keep the outer jacket in his bag for emergencies.  This is also machine washable at 40 degrees, just don’t use fabric conditioner as it will ruin the waterproofing.
