One food that we all LOVE as a family is Pizza, Emmy can be rather fussy and Paul likes a very plain diet but Pizza is always a hit with everyone – even if Emmy does make us pick off the topping from hers.
We were kindly sent a £50 giftcard to spend on a visit to our local Pizza Hut restaurant Enfield Leisure Park, one that had been done up and had a new look menu too. Of course we raced over one evening for a family dinner.
This restaurant we hadn’t been to before for have nothing to compare it too but the staff were very friendly and it was very clean. We arrived around 4.45pm so as to not eat too late for the children, it was almost empty and quiet. We were seated within minutes and the given our menu’s – they had run out of the new colouring books so the children were given paper and crayons which they were happy with.
Drinks were ordered and brought over quickly while we browsed the menu –

The kids meal deal is very reasonable – for £3.99 they can have a main meal, unlimited salad and a drink and then add unlimited ice-cream from the ice-cream factory for £1.95.
The choice is rather good for a children’s menu there is a choice of pizza, pasta or chicken strips. The pizza can be thin crust or deep pan with a choice of topping and there are 3 different pasta options.
For the children we ordered a margarita pizza and macaroni cheese so they could have half each, neither of them are big salad fans but we did manage to get them to try a little.
The main noticeable difference with the adults menu were the gluten free pizza options, a few new starter options and new chef’s specials.
We ordered starters of Garlic bread, chicken wings and cheesy triangles and we all shared these. Portion sizes are really good and they were all very delicious especially the cheesy triangles (these are now my new favourite).
What is lacking on the menu is a medium size pizza option – Paul and I both like different pizza toppings, I like deep pan and he likes thin crust so a half and half option doesn’t suit us. There is an individual sized pizza which I chose and a large which Paul opted for, while the individual size is a perfect size for me, Harry did decide he preferred mine so stole about 2 slices so medium would have been better, and the large was too big for Paul in the end.
The menu also has 500 calorie option pizzas which are good for those on diets, not so good for those like me who should be keeping to their diet but want a night off as it makes me wonder just how many were in my pizza – to combat this I visited the salad bar, although pasta and potato salad may not have helped my cause there!

The informal relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant meant it wasn’t so bad when Harry started to play up a little, he had finished and no longer wanted to be contained in his high chair so grew rather noisy, no one minded and other families has children doing the same; this makes parents feel much better – no one looking at you wishing you would hush your child – believe me, we do try but sometimes he just wants to be out and nothing will stop him until that happens……..well one thing did make him quieten down. Ice-cream.
Both children loved being able to head for the ice-cream factory and do their own thing. When they had finished piling their topping on peace and quiet fell and Paul and I could enjoy a grown up dessert.

Another great thing to note was the refillable fizzy drinks station, you order your drink but serve yourself this and just refill when needed – this means you can add as much ice or as little as needed and don’t need to wait for a refill.
The service was great throughout our meal and the food delicious. We did over spend our voucher however we knew that would happen as we all had 3 courses and Paul and I had a beer and wine each.
