If you’ve a young child you will not have failed to have at least heard of the Postman Pat Movie. You may have seen it at the cinema (we didn’t as mine have trouble sitting still) but you’ve not missed your chance to see this wonderful movie as it is released on DVD on Monday 29th September.
We have been lucky enough to get our hands on an advanced copy to see what all the fuss is about, and I can confirm it’s pretty awesome!
Postman Pat features Stephen Mangan and Ronan Keating as Pat’s respective speaking and singing voices and with support from Jim Broadbent, David Tennant and Rupert Grint , Postman Pat: The Movie really does deliver the best of British.
The characters we all know and love remain with a few new ones thrown into the mix for good measure.
The movie brings the X-Factor to the small village of Greendale and stars the unlikely Postman as the tip topped favourite to win the finals. However while Pat is busy auditioning and practising Robots have been brought in to do his job…although their is a rather sinister plot behind those robots and all isn’t as it seems.
Pat is oblivious to what is happening as he is very keen to win so he can take his lovely wife on a very late honeymoon trip to Italy.
For a postman that cheeky loved character can sure sing…but is it enough to win that trip and will Pat leave the sorting office behind him for the lights and glamour of the stage? Well I’m not about to spoil that for you so you’ll have to watch for yourselves!
Postman Pat is available to buy on Blue Ray and DVD from Monday 29th September from all good retailers.
