Domestos & UNICEF present Dance and be happy and TELL A FRIEND

Can you believe that in this day and age that 2.5 Billion people live with out access to safe and clean toilets?

Now I have no idea what that would actually be like as I can’t even bring myself to use a porta loo let alone have to go outside, so to imagine life without access to something we all take for granted is pretty hard to imagine, however it DOES happen.

A very sad fact is that because of this 2000 children die every day from diarrhoea which could easily have been prevented.

Domestos and Unilever Foundation have joined together with UNICEF to help improve access to the basic sanitation needs of hundreds and thousands by supporting UNICEF’s Community Approaches to Total Sanitation Programme (SATS).

The CATS programme is about trying to change behaviours and promote good hygiene practices.  This programme is in action in 50 countries around the world and has changed the lives of 13.5 million people.

Domestos is helping with this campaign by donating 5% of it’s average proceeds received from the sales of it’s specially marked bottles of Domestos.  These proceeds will go towards the CATS programme in the following countries: Philippines, South Sudan and Vietnam, and will also be used to help improve the sanitation in India, Indonesia and Brazil.

So far this programme has helped to reach school children in Ghana, Nicaragua and Sudan with sanitation, clean water and hygiene facilities.

Is there a way you can help?
Well you can buy the special bottles of Domestos or you are able to donate straight to the cause here.
