Leave me alone!! I refuse to buy into your pyramid schemes

That’s it I’ve had enough now.
I’ve blown a fuse and lost my cool.
The first few times it was OK, I deleted or removed myself and didn’t say a word.
BUT when will you get the message?
Never it would seem.
Now I’ve had enough.

LEAVE ME ALONE….
I’M 100% NOT INTERESTED IN BUYING YOUR CRAP.
It’s not you it’s me…..well that’s a lie – it’s actually quite a lot you as you’re not taking no for an answer.
Who else is completely at the end of their tether at being added to Facebook pages by others trying to sell you things?

There are so many it’s unreal.
* Forever living
* Candles
* Make Up….naming no brands as there are a few around
* Diet pills
* Diet plans
* Jewellery
To name but a few.
By all means invite me to like your page/join your group but please don’t be offended when I don’t.
I’ve no interest in these things.
I choose where I want to shop and what I want to buy, and yes I may like some of these products and yes I do own a few but let me choose where I buy them and when.  I enjoy shopping for new products but in my own time and where I choose.

Facebook is a way of connecting with my friends who I don’t see often, keeping up with my blogging friends and blog events/posts/promotion/competitions, it’s a way to share pictures of my children with family not somewhere I go to be inundated with ‘this is great, buy me’ groups which I’ve not even joined myself but awoken to being added to yet another.
It’s now hit another low, DM’s on Twitter.

I try to be polite and tell you it’s not for me Thank you but this pushiness of ‘Oh many people say that, let me tell you more about it’ just makes me hit unfollow.  Fast forward a few days and I find you’ve unfollowed,  I do a little ‘Woo Hoo’ air fist and think we’ll they listened as after 3 or 4 messages they are still trying to sell to me, I’m clearly not your target audience and I do apologise but it’s just not for me..
NO, its never that simple is it? You follow again. I don’t follow back as I know where this is going, you unfollow, two days later only to follow again…and repeat.
BLOCK
Sorry this time it is solely you.
I’m getting somewhere again, it’s quiet and I feel I’ve won a mini personal battle here.
No I’m an idiot, ‘Oh private message on IG ‘ that rarely ever happens, off to read.
SHIT
Again?
Really?
Someone new, finding a new way to advertising their scheme. I’m polite and tell you as I’ve all the others that it’s not for you but Thank you.
‘They all say that, I was the same but I can assure you this is different.  Can you tell me why you’re not interested ‘
That’s without the emails, which mainly go to my junk folder now.
Times this by 8 and it’s a typical day for me and I have just HAD ENOUGH NOW.
I’m not going to reply.
Anyone else feel the same or am I just a grumpy mare currently?

  1. Yes! I hate this, being added to groups by people entering competitions drives me mad as well, there shouldn't be an option to do anything other than 'invite' someone on there in my opinion. It's spammy and annoying. I understand some people who do the wraps etc are just trying to make a living, but if I want to join a group I will – being added just makes me want to leave.

  2. I love it when you get ranty. I hate these things too, the recent one about books wound me up – I'd prefer to buy my kids a few new books than harass my friends to buy books! x

  3. I must admit this is an issue I have been torn over, I have been out of work for years following an spinal injury in June 2007. I am a husband and father but despite applying for hundreds upon hundreds of jobs in the last few years (about 2500) I am still out of work. I have gone half mad trying to find a way to work from home and I must admit I did briefly consider joining one of those companies. I didn't in the end as I couldn't see how I could make an income however since I only get £20 a week I'm benefits and have had to sell a great deal of my personal property just to make ends meet every month I know I need to do something.

    1. I really feel for you. My husband was out of work for about two years and it was very hard.
      I've nothing against these companies at all and as I said I do buy from them it's just the pushy nature of adding people to groups without their consent and then not taking no for an answer, It must be hard cold selling and isn't something I have tried…..except that summer I worked in a call centre selling double glazing

    1. Absolutely. And I would happily buy from friends selling them but I'd let them know.if I wanted something. I just don't like being added automatically to the groups
