Earlier this month, I was invited to London with a small group of fellow Blogger to the CourtHouse Double Tree Hilton Hotel to meet with the faces behind a wonderful company Tinyme and also the faces behind Blog-match.com.
Who are Tinyme? Well it all started 5 years ago when 3 young Australian dads with 13 children under the age of 9 had a great idea. (Although with 13 children between them i’m not actually sure where they found the time)
Mike Wilson, Nick McLennan and Ben Hare combined a whole bunch of geeky high tech machines, some generous dollops of cuteness, a slightly loopy team of people and mixed them together with the world wide webby thingy. The result was amazing…. a comprehensive range of affordable, premium quality, designer personalised products for kids.
Starting out in 2006 in a small home office the guys launced Mooo.com.au and over the 5 years have grown bigger and bigger. In July 2011 the guys branched into the UK market with a new name Tinyme – and here they are!
We were given the fantastic opportunity of getting our hands on their amazingly cute products and having a play – I couldn’t resist repositioning their wall art by moving the birds to different branches, hanging them upside down and generally having a good play. The quality is amazing – unlike most wall art stickers you can actually fold these over on themselves and then unpeel them again, I will definately be adding this to my wish list once I re-decorate Emmy’s bedroom.
Their bags are also adorable and all items can with personalised with a name of your choice!
They are very reasonably priced and even though still shipped from Australia at present shipping prices are much cheaper than you would expect – starting from £2.99 and capping at £5.99.
Tinyme have also designed a whole range of printable templates which you can personalised and use at home – all you need to do is sign up to their free newsletter to access them, and they do promise not to bombard you with emails! You can sign up here.
I would like to thank Tinyme and Blog-match for the chance to meet face to face, have a lovely evening out away from Emmy, play with the items while chatting and eating – what better way to spend an evening!! It was very nice to actually have the opportunity to meet the people behind a company – far too often it is email and phone and as the guys discovered – get a bunch of chatty women in a room together you never know wht questions/topics will come up!
