Use actual handwriting to create a truly sentimental piece – Win a unique Silver Locket

Handwriting is just like fingerprints, it is unique to an individual so no two people will have exactly the same writing style.

We spend hours and hours helping our children learn to form their letters correctly, ensuring they hold their pencils properly and repeat their exercises over and over again. It is written down in their school books and these mount up over the years – do you have a pile of old workbooks stacked up at the back of your shelves unsure of what to do with them but not wanting to throw them away? I certainly do.

Looking back over these as the years pass shows you just how far your child has progressed.

Other special pieces of handwriting you may also keep and display proudly, that first note your child writes to you, the first time they sign their own name in your birthday card perhaps – these are special things to keep only displaying on the fridge isn’t always possible and means they will get tatty over the years.

Memory boxes are where I keep my most precious items in the hope they are preserved over time so I can pass them on to my children.

Some pieces of writing we don’t realise we should cherish often until it’s too late, the last Christmas card or Birthday card sent from a loved one before they pass for example.

I have the last birthday card my Nan sent to me and the last Christmas cards she sent to the children kept safely away in my memories box, I like to look at her handwriting when I am feeling sad, she passed away this year and there are still tears often. We also have cards written by Paul’s Mum so we can remember her handwriting – it helps us to feel close to her as she is very much missed daily by us all.

It is my absolute pleasure to have teamed up with a wonderful company Inscripture to bring you this latest giveaway, a Sterling Silver Heart Locket which can be personalised with your loved one’s handwriting.

This precious Sterling Silver Heart Locket comes on an 18-inch chain and you can be personalised with actual handwriting from your loved on to create a truly unique wearable keepsake which you can then add a photograph inside and wear close to your heart.

To personalise you upload an image of the handwriting you would like on your Locket. It can be engraved on the front and the back or just the front – the choice is yours. Type in your message as well as uploading an image and your gift will be something you’ll cherish forever.

This beautiful prize is worth £40 and I wish I could keep it for myself, however, I know it will go to a wonderful home with one of my lovely readers here.

Of course, who’s handwriting you choose to have engraved is entirely up to you.  Inscripture also has lots of other beautiful jewellery items available from handwriting gifts to earrings, rings to watches as well as trinkets such as keyrings, passport covers and trinket boxes.

  2. my late mother’s handwriting would be so special, and i would give it to my sister, and get another one for myself x

  3. i would choose my husbands writing as he went blind 2 years ago so i would choose something he has wrote on before x

  4. My husband unexpectedly passed away in March this year so it would be his. I have a chain with a heart pendant with his fingerprint on so I would love to add this onto the chain as well
