One of my most memorable holidays pre-children was one Paul and I took to Rome one summer. We wanted a holiday where we could take in some of the local history with a good mix of places we could walk to and though we would need a coach trip for.
|Trevi Fountain at 6am|
We booked to stay in a hotel near to the Trevi fountain only were upgraded to a private room a little way away from the hotel, right next to the fountain. It was a wonderful location – perfect for finding the most amazing restaurants, I have never had a pizza as delicious as those I had in Rome and the pasta was just amazing, infact all the food during that week was fantastic. It was also a great location and we managed to take in so much of the local history and visit some amazing places such as:
It really was a wonderful holiday and somewhere we would love to visit again but maybe when the children are older or perhaps without them as it wouldn’t be exciting for them just yet.
If Rome is somewhere you would like to visit then you need to pop over to the competition over on the Jones Bootmakers website where they are giving away a holiday to Rome for two people, including flights, transfers, a 4 night stay in a 5 star hotel and excursions to: The colosseum, The Vatican, The Sistine Chapel, St. Peter’s Balsilica and the Borghese Gallery and gardens.
All T&C’s can be found on the website and the competitions runs from 16th May to 26th June 2016.
Good luck if you enter – it is a fabulous location for a holiday.
