Win a Porridge lovers Pack from Stoats *Giveaway Closed*

The weather outside is frightful….quite literally it is freezing outside, actually its blooming cold inside too – I am sitting here wrapped in a blanket as I refuse to have the heating on all day long.

This weather calls for warm fluffy slippers, fleeces, hot chocolate and porridge for breakfast.  As we walk to school I like to make sure the children have warm food in the mornings to at least warm their little belly’s before wrapping them in layers to head to school – there is something old fashioned about porridge which reminds me of my childhood, I remember having the same breakfast on a cold day to help warm me up and see me through until lunch.

We all love porridge here which is why I am very please to have teamed up with Stoats to offer you a lovely giveaway to help ease you into the new year healthily.

  6. I am not a morning person. It is always a rush. Once I have got the kids up and their breakfast sorted I tend to reach for the coffee and then have breakfast myself

  11. Ideally I’d like to start my day by waking up naturally at a sensible hour! If that’s not possible then coffe and porridge does me fine.

  12. I like to have a cuddle off my chug Arthur then let him out and have a nice cup of tea and piece of toast or porridge. On a weekend sometimes I love a fry up to start the day

  13. Alternate days I have a bowl of porridge in the morning and it is so good in the cold weather – keeps me warm all morning!

  14. I have a cuppa whilst getting ready for the school run, making breakfasts and checking they’ve got all they need for the day but my day really starts when I’m back home enjoying a tea and breakfast in peace and quiet and contemplating the day ahead = BLISS

  15. I have to have at least one cuppa before I leave the house but in all honesty although I wake up pretty early I’m not ‘properly’ awake for a good few hours after that…I’m functioning in a semi-concious state 😉

  16. Slowly with a nice cuppa tea and a fag – gentle coo-ing of doves and a bikini clad beauty gently wafting a palm leaf would help too! Or of course a nice bowl of porridge to warm the heart in a cold winter would work nearly as well.

  17. Depends on the weather!

Most of the year I have a bowl of home-made muesli but when the weather is cold (or I need ‘comfort’) then I have a bowl of porridge.

Sadly, these days I’m dairy intolerant so I make it with water but I used to love to have the cream off the top of the milk (in the far off days before homogonised milk!!) for a treat…

  18. Overnight Oats made with porridge oats, yogurt and raspberries followed by a steaming mug of coffee…or three x

  19. I normally start my day about 5.40-6.00 am with a cup of black coffee as I don’t do breakfast but I do have brunch around 10.00-11.00 which can be a bowl of porridge or different cereal or a sandwich depending on whatever I fancy.

  20. It is usually hectic getting the kids ready for school so I usually have one of the porridge quick pots that you just add water to then some fruit

  21. I start my day by being jumped on by my dog ,demanding that I get up and let him outside for a wee! After that,it”s a strong coffee for me and a cup of tea for my other half to kick start our day.

  22. At this time of year I love to start my day with a bowl of porridge! I vary it – sometimes I make it with water and just add a touch of salt, sometimes I add fruit (most commonly blueberries or banana) or yogurt, somtimes spices (ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg or a combination!), sometimes I make it with goats milk….variety is the spice of life!
