Top Tips From a Former Nanny

Welcome to a corner of my blog where all those years as a Nanny really come into play! Having spent over 14 years caring for little ones before having my own, I’ve picked up a fair few tricks of the trade. Now that I’m a mum myself, it’s incredible how much of that experience is still part of my day-to-day, guiding me through the ups and downs of parenthood with Emmy and Harry. This section is where I share those tried-and-true insights – think of it as advice from one mum to another, laced with a bit of professional know-how.
Here, you’ll find practical tips and strategies on everything from bedtime routines and building good manners to encouraging independence and managing those “big feelings” we know all too well. My goal is to make life a bit easier for us parents while helping our kids grow, learn, and thrive. I’m not about strict rules or rigid routines; it’s all about finding balance, keeping it real, and enjoying the journey.
So grab a coffee, dive in, and let’s tackle this parenting adventure together!
