Father’s Day with Fox for Dad’s out of this world

Sometimes there is nothing better than putting your feet up and enjoying a good old movie, of course whenever you are flicking through the channels there is either too much choice or nothing on at all.

I always find that when we actually have the time to watch something together that there’s nothing available – these are the times to reach for the trusted DVD’s/Blue-Rays

How about having a movie marathon with your OH or your Dad this Father’s Day.

The Martian

From legendary director Ridley Scott (Alien, Prometheus) comes a gripping tale of human strength and the will to survive. During a mission to Mars, American astronaut Mark Watney (Matt Damon) is presumed dead and left behind. But Watney is still alive. Against all odds, he must find a way to contact Earth in the hope that scientists can devise a rescue plan to bring him home.

Independence Day

On July 2nd, communications systems worldwide are sent into chaos by a strange atmospheric interference. First thought to be meteors, they are later revealed to be gigantic spacecraft, piloted by a mysterious alien species who have set out to launch an attack throughout the globe. On July 3rd, the aliens all but obliterate New York, Los Angeles, and Washington when a band of survivors devise a plan to fight back against the enslaving aliens. On July 4th, humanity fights for its freedom.

Alien

The time is the future. The crew aboard a massive commercial space vehicle is enroute to earth with a load of extraterrestrial ore when they are sidetracked by mysterious signals from a nearby planet. The signals seem to be calls for help and when the space ship arrives they find a ruined, moldering spacecraft and within it egg-like living organisms.

Predator Ultimate Hunter Edition

Deep in the jungle, several bodies have been discovered skinned and hanging from trees — although who or what could have done this is a mystery. Military covert specialist Dutch (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and his team are called in to eliminate the threat, but once in the heart of the menacing jungle, they discover something far worse than they could ever have imagined — the predator — an alien which has come to earth with cloaking technology, extensive combat skills and a desire to hunt humans for sport.

Prometheus
