The trouble with that is you can’t always guarantee a clear sky to actually see them clearly. Emmy has her own telescope which she was given for her birthday this year but I can count on 2 hands the number of times she’s actually been able to set it up and see those pretty stars in the sky.

Maybe it’s the day you got engaged, or the day your child was born or even your wedding day – you are able to put in a date and time of your choice, the location so perhaps the church where you married or the town your child was born and it will generate a map of the stars from that time, date and location.

I was very kindly sent a Star map of my choice to show you just what it looks like.

After agonising over which date I would choose and deciding that if I did the kids birthday’s they would argue that I love one of them more than the other and would, therefore, need two maps, I decided it had to be my wedding day.

You initially have two choice when started to create your map – printed (£59.95) or download version. (£29.95) The printed version costs more of course and you then wait for delivery, while the downloadable version is ready instantly but you have to print off yourself.

Next, you choose the colour of the sky on your map with the choices being: Black, Ultramarine, Arctic Blue, Chocolate or Mulberry.

You then choose the size you want, the bigger it is the higher the price, then you choose if you’d like a frame or not.

To personalise your map, you add the location of your star map – I choose where we got married so “Waltham Abbey Church, Essex” and then you add a time and date.
