I absolutely love being a Mum, my children aren’t perfect and I won’t pretend that they are but most of the time I wouldn’t change them for the world.
One thing I do wish though is that they made less mess and I had the space to remove their toys from my front room. My house is big enough to have a playroom as such only with an open plan room all their toys are visible from the sitting room side of the room.
Paul and I have been talking and planning and our long term aim is to swap this room around – change the playroom side to where the sitting room is and vice versa. Once done with careful planning of the furniture I’m hoping to separate these two rooms off a little so my evening can be spent peacefully relaxing and not looking at the mess they have left their toys in.
I have been having a play around with Polyvore and this is the room idea I currently have for my peaceful, quiet and clutter free adults area.

I'm really liking the yellow and grey! You can then add like a statement piece like a bright coloured vase or something! Also love that you're claiming back your adult area haha I have 2 children and know all too well of the mess toys make! We ended uo investing in a huge vintage trunk that most of them fit into and it gives the room a really lovely look too!
