The Book of Life DVD release & Competition #BookofLifeBluRay

Posted on February 11, 2015August 6, 2016
I don’t know if you managed to see The Book Of Life while it was in the cinema’s?  Sadly we didn’t however all is not lost as it is finally released onto DVD on Monday 16th February and we will be lucky enough to be joining in with a home movie viewing party – this means we will be watching along with a few other families and joining in online with the fun too.

The Book of Life is a 3D animated film featuring the voices of Channing Tatum, Zoe Saldana, Diego Luna, and Christina Applegate

In the Mexican town of San Angel, Manolo, Maria and Joaquin have been friends ever since childhood. Although their lives have taken different paths – Maria was sent to Europe, Joaquin joined the military, and Manolo studied to become a bullfighter – one thing remains the same: Manolo and Joaquin both want to marry Maria. Little does the trio know that battling husband-and-wife deities have made a high-stakes wager on the love triangle’s outcome.

You can join in with a competition to win your very own home movie experience where the prize bundle includes:

  • Blu-Ray Player
  • £100 worth of family DVD’s
  • £100 voucher to Chiquitos restaurants

What a lovely prize bundle!

You can enter in three ways:

  • Download a colouring sheet and get creative
  • Design your own costume just like Manolo’s
  • Do your best Character impression
All of the downloads for these and entries can be submitted on the Book of Life Website.

Good luck if you enter – it is such a lovely prize, and do let me know if you enter and if you win.
This competition closes at Midnight on 23rd February – full t&c’s can be found on the website.

We are looking forward to watching this movie together and if you want to join the online fun on Monday 16th Feb then follow @BookOfLifeUK #BookofLifeBluRay

We didn't get to see this film, but will be keeping an eye out for it. We have regular family Friday night movie nights, so will add it to the list.

Oh I love the sound of that. I know for a fact we have not seen it so I was scratching my brain as to why I recognise the main characters and then the penny dropped. We've had them as McDonald's Happy Meals toys. x

This does look like a pretty fun movie, and my little one is a bit too young for the cinema experience so an at home viewing would be way better!
