I don’t know if you managed to see The Book Of Life while it was in the cinema’s? Sadly we didn’t however all is not lost as it is finally released onto DVD on Monday 16th February and we will be lucky enough to be joining in with a home movie viewing party – this means we will be watching along with a few other families and joining in online with the fun too.
The Book of Life is a 3D animated film featuring the voices of Channing Tatum, Zoe Saldana, Diego Luna, and Christina Applegate
In the Mexican town of San Angel, Manolo, Maria and Joaquin have been friends ever since childhood. Although their lives have taken different paths – Maria was sent to Europe, Joaquin joined the military, and Manolo studied to become a bullfighter – one thing remains the same: Manolo and Joaquin both want to marry Maria. Little does the trio know that battling husband-and-wife deities have made a high-stakes wager on the love triangle’s outcome.

We missed it the first time round so really looking forward to watching it, it looks great.
The kids adore this film!!
This looks like a great film – I hope you enjoy it x x
I haven't come across this one before – thank you
What a lovely competition. The film looks fun and to be in 3d too! A great looking family film.
We didn't get to see this film, but will be keeping an eye out for it. We have regular family Friday night movie nights, so will add it to the list.
My girls are looking forward to watching this movie – great competition!
We are so looking forward to watching this. It was such a shame that you didn't get to travel and see the voices!
I hadn't heard of this film, but it's certainly one I'll be keeping an eye out for. So many good films around at the moment!
I have not seen the movie yet I hope I like it.
I missed it at the cinema too, looking forward to watching it though as it looks pretty cool!
Oh I love the sound of that. I know for a fact we have not seen it so I was scratching my brain as to why I recognise the main characters and then the penny dropped. We've had them as McDonald's Happy Meals toys. x
I haven't seen this movie but would love to.
aww Clare this film looks amazing and would certainly be on our must see list! 🙂
Great competition prize. My kids have moved on from this sort of movie so I don't get to see things like this anymore.
This does look like a pretty fun movie, and my little one is a bit too young for the cinema experience so an at home viewing would be way better!
