Where to Spend Cryptocurrency in Mexico

Posted on March 28, 2022March 28, 2022

**Collaborative post**

Many countries have recognized cryptocurrencies because of how unifying it is. In a short while, the financial fortunes of many have been transformed. Consequently, the cryptocurrency market has experienced massive growth due to the influx of global traders. Despite the much resentment that characterized digital currencies in their early years, it has moved to be one of the most sought after innovations globally.

For a country rarely recognized in other parts of the planet, Mexico embraces cryptocurrency even more than popular countries. More and more Mexicans are investing in cryptocurrency and making huge returns, with many more attitudes changing. With over fifty per cent of the country’s population being without a bank account, it seems crypto benefits Mexico the most.

Many businesses in Mexico accept crypto payments for their goods and services. So, if you haven’t already, you can now buy Dogecoin and spend in these Mexican places below.

India Gate

India Gate is an Indian restaurant based in Puerto Vallarta. If you’re a lover of Indian food and a crypto enthusiast, this is a good place to visit. They’re reviewed to have some delicious Indian delicacies that you’ll always want to come back for. The best part, and the reason they are on this list, is that they accept cryptocurrency. Indian Gate has been accepting cryptocurrency since 2013 because the company also invests in buying cryptocurrency.

Café Punta del Cielo

Café Punta del Cielo is a great spot to get early morning coffee. The coffee shop makes a mean cup of coffee with unparalleled expertise. Café Punta del Cielo has many shops located in different places. It accepts cryptocurrency at one of its shops located at the Universidad de las Americas but only accepts Bitcoin. Nevertheless, it is willing and ready to expand to its other stores if people show interest. Café Punta del Cielo is Mexico’s biggest coffee shop chain; their acceptance of crypto means more businesses will follow suit.

Belize Real Estate

Belize is a little country south of Mexico and allows you to buy real estate with Bitcoin. There are certain approved developers through whom interested buyers can complete the entire buying process. Real estate is one of the hardest things to purchase using large amounts of cryptocurrency. Belize has broken the record by being the first country to allow large-dollar transactions in cryptocurrency.

El Diablo y la Sandía

The literal translation being The Devil and the Watermelon, El Diablo la Sandia is a quaint bed-and-breakfast-style hotel located in Oaxaca. This hotel has been accepting cryptocurrency, especially Bitcoin, for more than five years. Nevertheless, as of November 2020, no one had yet used cryptocurrency in the hotel. But, with the rate at which virtual currencies are being traded, people must have begun using crypto there. Otherwise, you could be their first and reserve a room using your Bitcoin.

Liberias Gandhi

Restaurants and hotels aren’t the only establishments that understand the benefit of trading with cryptocurrency. Even bookstores and libraries accept cryptocurrency in exchange for their goods and services. Liberias Ghandi is one of the first companies to accept Bitcoin as payment in Mexico. They let you purchase books through an online payment platform, Pademobile, making your phone a mobile wallet.

If you love to read and want to spend Bitcoin getting your favourite books, you should work into this bookstore and know that they will accept your crypto.

Mobla

Mobla is a furniture company in Guanajuato, Mexico, selling furniture for at least seventy years. Mobla doesn’t only accept cryptocurrency as payment; it also has its Bitcoin ATM. It is one of the few establishments that have embraced cryptocurrency massively. Besides Mobla, Fantastico Comics is another store with its own Bitcoin ATM in Mexico City.

You don’t have to worry about decorating your home with cash if you stay within or around Mexico. With your Ethereum, Litecoin, Bitcoin, or Dogecoin, you can get your furniture from Mobla.

Panama Residency

Panama residency is the world’s most popular second residency, where you can purchase residency using Bitcoin. When you invest in Panama’s reforestation visa program with $20,000, you get access and privileged benefits to the company. So, if you’re in Mexico, you need a residency and only Bitcoin to spend, here’s your green light.

In conclusion, most Mexicans don’t have bank accounts because they don’t trust their government and financial systems. Mexico was once a cash economy until cryptocurrency came along. Cryptocurrency’s transparency solves this problem for Mexicans. Plus, the fact that many more companies accept crypto for their services makes having it more rewarding.
