Posted on May 8, 2022May 8, 2022

**Collaborative post**

Who wants to go to Universal Studios for a family vacation? If you have kids, the question will probably be met with a resounding shout of joy. It’s a great theme park for thrill-seekers of all ages, with rides that accommodate those looking for a rush as well as a more mild experience. That means there are plenty of rides for your children to enjoy if they are a bit on the short side still. Here are some of our favorites.

E.T. Adventure

A great starter ride for kids is based on the classic Steven Spielberg film, E.T. The Extraterrestrial. Little kids may not be as familiar with the film as you are, but that doesn’t make it any less fun! This is equivalent to Disney’s “It’s a Small World” ride, with animatronics and pieces that look like they were pulled straight from the set. The best part is flying through the sky on your bike while listening to a great score by John Williams, but your kids won’t know about that, they’ll just be ecstatic that they’re flying!

Pteranodon Flyers

If your child is a dinosaur lover, they’ll absolutely adore this ride. They’ll be able to soar above Jurrasic Park on a pterodactyl just like in the movie! This is also one of the only rides that actually has a height limit, where you can’t be shorter than 36 inches but also not taller than 56 inches unless you’re accompanying a child. This is one ride where the adults have to miss out for a change!

The High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride!

This is a great ride if you have particularly young children with you. The height restriction is only 36 inches tall, allowing for most kids to ride through the sky on this leisurely trolly experience. They’ll be able to scope out the view of Seuss Landing from above and spot secrets that can only be seen from a great height! It’s a really cute, low-intensity ride!

Kang and Koodos Twirl and Hurl

If you head over to The Simpson’s world, you’ll immediately see this space-themed ride. It’s pretty basic, but with a height requirement of only 48 inches, it’s perfect for your kids. They’ll zoom through the sky on their own flying saucer and enjoy the lights and commentary of the classic TV show’s aliens. And don’t worry, they won’t actually hurl.

Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem

There’s a pretty good chance your kids are a little more familiar with Despicable Me than some of the other rides, which is a good thing because this ride is awesome. It blends 4D technology with the world of the movie franchise to create a ride that’s not only for kids but for adults too!

Fun Rides for the Whole Family!

These are some of the best kid-friendly rides that Universal Studios has to offer, but there are plenty of other great options, too, like the Spider-Man ride, the X-Men Cups, and Popeye’s Water Ride! They’re also enjoyable for adults that get motion sickness, are recovering from a medical procedure like one of several types of bunion surgery, or are just looking for a smooth theme park experience.
