Adding to my Willow Tree Collection #AD

PR Sample

Disclaimer: I was gifted one of the items in this post, the others I have purchased myself over the years.

I can honestly say I have never been one for collecting knick-knacks and ornaments, and I did mean to continue with this however I was given a Willow Tree ornament as a wedding present by a friend and I was instantly hooked.

If you aren’t familiar with the Willow Tree collection, these are figures, basic shapes without faces hand carved by Susan Lordi. Artist Susan Lordi hand carves the original of each Willow Tree sculpture. Pieces are cast in resin from her original carvings, and then individually painted by hand with lead-free paint.

Willow Tree figurines come in many forms from angels and plaque sculptures; musicals, ornaments, tree toppers, and nativity sets. Functional pieces include cake toppers, memory and keepsake boxes, and notecards.

I have now collected new pieces for special occasions over the years, and love adding to my collection slowly.

They are timeless pieces which never age and look stunning on my shelf, although I will need to put up another shelf soon as mine is now rather full.

I was given one for my wedding present, added a father holding a baby when Emily was born – this was actually Paul’s gift from me which I presented to him in the hospital after I had given birth. A couple holding a baby when Harry arrived.

I added a boy and a girl figurine a few years ago as just couldn’t resist – they looked so like Emmy and Harry it was uncanny (in the posture of course as they are faceless), and I added a guardian angel just after Paul’s Mum past away.

Recently I was gifted a couple figurine for Valentine’s Day from giftgivingallwrappedup which looks amazing up on my shelf with the rest of my collection.

The figurine is called Around You. Willow Tree is an intimate line of figurative sculptures representing sentiments of love, closeness, healing, courage, hope…all the emotions we encounter in life. This figurine costs £47.

This particular figurine is perfect as an Anniversary gift, Wedding present or for Valentine’s – it depicts the longing in a new relationship, love and togetherness.

Giftgivingallwrappedup has many other Willow Tree figurines to choose from so there is something to suit all occasions and a gift of a Willow Tree figurine communicates beyond words.

For anyone stuck for gift ideas for me……you now know I will continue to add to my beautiful collection over the years.

Prices for the figurines start from around £13 for small individual figures.

You can see more Willow Tree figures and other beautiful gift ideas over on the website www.giftgivingallwrappedup.co.uk

Hi, I’m Clare – Mum to Emmy and Harry, ex-nanny and the writer behind Emmy’s Mummy. Based in Essex, I share honest tales of family life, parenting teens, top tips from a former nanny and our love of adventures, food, and UK staycations. We’re always up for exploring – whether it’s a trip into London, a caravan break, or just getting outdoors with a picnic. This blog blends my nannying experience with the everyday chaos of raising tweens and teens. Thanks for joining us!
