There’s nothing quite like the start of the festive season to get everyone in the house buzzing with excitement. For me, it all begins with the Christmas tree. This year, I’ve had the absolute pleasure of decorating with some beautiful items from WeRChristmas, and let me tell you, they’ve taken my tree game to a whole new level!

I couldn’t wait to share how we transformed our living room into a cosy Christmas haven – so grab a cuppa, and let me walk you through the gorgeous decorations we used this year.

Decorating for Christmas with WeRChristmas

Himalayan Fir Christmas Tree – 7ft

Let’s start with the main event – the Himalayan Fir 7ft Christmas Tree. It’s absolutely stunning! I love how full and lifelike it looks, with branches that are dense enough to make it feel like the real deal. The kids were convinced it was a fresh-cut tree at first (until they realised there was no piney smell or mess – win-win!).

Setting it up was so easy, too. The hinged branches just fold out, and it only took me a few minutes to fluff it all up. At 7ft, it’s the perfect height for making a statement without feeling like it’s taking over the entire room. It’s sturdy enough to handle all our decorations – even the heavier ones.

36-Inch Red Berry Tree Topper

For years, I’ve struggled with tree toppers. Either they’re too small, too heavy, or just don’t sit right. But this Red Berry Tree Topper is a game-changer. It’s 36 inches, so it makes a big impact, and the rich red berries add such a classic, festive vibe.

It’s really lightweight and so easy to secure at the top. Plus, it ties in beautifully with the rest of the decorations we used – I’ll definitely be using it again next year. It is attached with cable ties to secure it in place….and I have recently learned that you can reuse these over and over again by pushing the end of a sharp pair of scissors into the slotted end and pulling it open – for years I have been cutting them and throwing them away!

Burgundy & Gold Baubles

I’ve always been a fan of a colour-coordinated tree, and this year I went with Burgundy & Gold Shatterproof Baubles for a rich, elegant look. The 15cm large baubles were perfect for adding some drama to the tree, the 20cm ones were certainly statement pieces,  while the 50-pack of smaller ones made it easy to fill out the branches.

The colours are gorgeous – a deep, warm burgundy that feels really luxurious and a warm golden colour in different finishes (shiny, matt and glitter) really pulls the whole look together and being shatterproof means I don’t have to worry about any mishaps, especially with Harry’s enthusiastic decorating skills and with the occasional furry visitors who I dogsit for.

Featured are:

  • Burgundy Large Matt Shatterproof Baubles, 20 cm
  • Burgundy Large Glitter Shatterproof Baubles, 15 cm
  • Burgundy Shatterproof Baubles, 50 Pack
  • Christmas Gold Shatterproof Baubles, 50 Pack

Natural Leaf Christmas Tree Spray

If you’ve never tried using sprays on your tree, you’re seriously missing out. These Natural Leaf Christmas Tree Sprays are 80cm long and add a whole new dimension to the tree.

I tucked them in among the branches, and they give a lovely frosted, natural look that works so well with the burgundy and gold. It’s such a simple addition, but it makes a massive difference – even Emmy said it looked “proper fancy” (her words, not mine!).

Red Berry Christmas Tree Spray

Speaking of sprays, I also added some Red Berry Christmas Tree Sprays, and wow, what a difference they made! At 78cm long, these sprays are perfect for filling in any gaps in the tree and adding a gorgeous pop of festive colour.

The vibrant red berries really stand out, and they tie in beautifully with the Red Berry Tree Topper and the red tones in the baubles. I love how easy they are to position – just a few tucked here and there, and suddenly the tree looks fuller and more polished. It’s the little touches like this that make such a big impact, and these sprays are definitely going in my “Christmas essentials” box for next year.

Outdoor Multi-Function LED Light String

What’s a Christmas tree without lights? This year, I used the 480 Multi-Function LED Lights in warm white, and they’re absolutely perfect. The warm glow is just what you need for those cosy winter evenings, and the multiple settings let you switch between twinkling, flashing, or a steady glow.

We’ve got them on the twinkle setting for now, which is perfect for having on in the background without drawing your attention away from working on the laptop or watching TV. The wire is really flexible, so wrapping them around the tree was a breeze – no tangles or frustration, which is always a bonus, and there is a timer function which means you don’t have to worry about turning them on or off daily.

Red Poly Mesh with Red Foils

For a finishing touch, I wrapped an empty cardboard box which the decorations came in with some natural coloured paper to create a base for the tree. I wanted it to look like a present to hide away the base of the tree. cutting a slot in the back meant I could decorate it and then push over the tree base so it looks as if the tree is standing on top of a Christmas present.

I then used some Red Poly Mesh with Foils to wrap around the decorated box and then made a large bow to add to the front. You can take a look at my tutorial reel below – I just love the effect it created with very little effort. I did go bag and staple the bow onto the box as the cellotape didn’t hold in place for long.

This year’s tree is hands down my favourite one yet. It’s a proper family effort, and I love how all the decorations from WeRChristmas helped bring our vision to life. The mix of burgundy and gold with natural accents feels so elegant but still cosy and homely – exactly what I want for Christmas.

If you’re thinking of refreshing your decorations or just want to add something special to your tree, I can’t recommend WeRChristmas enough. They’ve got everything you need to create a tree that looks like it’s stepped straight out of a magazine but still feels personal to your family.

Now, all I need to do is to stop the children trying to sneak a peek at the presents which are starting to gather under the tree!

I just love returning home after a hard day at work, kicking off my shoes, popping on my Simba Slippers and relaxing with the kids watching a movie with the Christmas lights flickering in the background.

How are you decorating your tree this year? Let me know – I’d love to hear your ideas!

The tree looks great, definitely more realistic than ours (it was a cheap supermarket one that we haven’t got round to replacing). A good shape too, it doesn’t look too wide at the bottom.
